Important Safeguards
Read these instructions carefully and retain them for future use. If this device is passed to a third party, then these instructions must be included.
When using electrical devices, basic safety precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and/or injury to persons including the following:
WARNING
Risk of injury! The safety features of this device may not protect the user if
not used in accordance with this user manual.
WARNING
Risk of serious injury! The provided mounting bracket consist of strong
magnets. Keep the device and especially the mounting bracket away from
chilcren. If magnets are swallowed, they could get stuck in the intestine and
cause dangerous complications. Magnets are not toys! Make sure that children
do not play with magnets In addition, the integrated magnets could affect the
functioning of pacemakers and implanted heart defibrillators. If you wear
these devices keep sufficient distance from magnets.
- Do not leave the device unattended. Always prevent access to the device by unauthorised personnel, for example by children. Do not attempt repairs or any adjustments. There are no user serviceable parts.
- Do not open the device. The laser beam is dangerous to eyes. Have the device repaired only by a professional.
- Do not use if the device appears damaged or if it is not working properly. If in doubt, replace the device.
- Do not use this device around explosive gases, vapors, or in damp or wet environments.
- Use caution when working on scaffolding, when using ladders, when measuring near machines which are running or near parts of machines or installations which are unprotected.
- Ensure adequate safeguards, for example reflective safety vest, at the surveying site (for example, when measuring on roads, construction sites, etc.). Follow all local work safety regulations.
- Do not use the device near medical equipment.
Laser beam warnings
- The following laser hazard symbol and warning label are used to alert the user to the risk associated with improper use of a laser pointer. Do not remove explanatory and warning labels.

- The laser beam (also the one that is reflected from another surface) is dangerous for the eyes of people and animals.
- Improper use can lead to permanent damage of the eyesight! Do not disassemble the laser device!
- Do not stare into the laser beam or direct it towards other people unnecessarily. Eye protection is normally afforded by aversion responses including the blink reflex.
- According to IEC 60825-1:2014, laser pointer was classified as a class 2 laser device. That is, a laser that emits visible radiation in the wavelength range of 400 nm to 700 nm is safe for momentary exposure, but can be dangerous when intentional gazing into the beam.
- This device produces a visible laser beam which is emitted from the top of the housing.
- Blinding by laser beam can indirectly lead to serious accidents, especially for people who are driving a vehicle or operating machinery.
- When operating the laser device, always make sure that the laser beam is directed so that no one is in the projection area and that unintentionally reflected beams (for example, from reflective objects) cannot be directed into areas where people are present.
- Laser beam can be dangerous, if the laser beam or its reflection enters unprotected eyes. Always familiarize yourself with statutory regulations and operating instructions before using laser device.
- If laser beam enters your eyes, close your eyes immediately and move your head away from the beam
- If your eyes have been irritated by laser radiation, do not continue to carry out tasks with safety implications, such as working with machines, working from great heights or close to high voltage. Also, do not operate any vehicles until the irritation has completely subsided.
- Never aim a laser beam at the sun or at any aircraft. The laser beam can distract or flashblind pilots. The laser beam continues to travel even if the light is no longer visible.
CAUTION
Use of controls or adjustments or performance of procedures other than those
specified herein may result in hazardous radiation exposure.

- Remove all the packing materials.
- Remove and review all components before use.
- Check the device for transport damages.
Operation
Measuring range
The laser range is limited to that listed under “Specifications” chapter.
Changing the batteries
NOTICE Always insert batteries correctly with regard to polarity (+ and-)
marked on the battery and the inner side of the battery compartment cover (E).
- Open the battery compartment cover (E).
- Insert 2x 1.5 V AA batteries (not induded).
- Refit the battery compartment cover (E).
Using the mounting bracket
Fasten the mounting bracket (D) to the mounting thread (F) of the device (Fig.
2). The mounting bracket (D) is equipped with 2 magnets to attach to any
magnetic surfaces.
Using with a tripod (not included)
The device is fitted with a 1/4″ (6 mm) mounting thread (F) which would fit
most camera tripods. Fasten the device to the tripod mounting plate (not
included) (Fig. 3) and then onto the tripod (not included) (Fig. 4)
Auto-level function
In this function, the device automatically levels the laser (C) to produce a horizontal and a vertical line. See the last page of this manual for device applications.
- Set the auto-level slider (B) to ON. The laser (C) lights up and flashes.
- The laser (C) flashes if the device is not level. Adjust the angle of the device until the laser (C) stops flashing.
- After use, set the auto-level slider (B) to OFF.
Tilt (manual level) function
In this function, laser (C) produces a pair of perpendicular lines. The angle of the lines can be adjusted as desired. See the last page of this manual for device applications.
- Press and hold the tilt function button (A) for 4 seconds to switch on, The laser (C) lights up.
- After use, press and hold the tilt function button (A) for 4 seconds to switch off.
