33884 Steaming Train Battery

Battery operated play functions: This battery-powered engine produces safe-to- touch steam from its chimney as it speeds down the tracks.
To get started: Install the batteries in the engine according to below image, then push and hold the forward button (3) for 3 seconds until the front lights go on. The Steaming Train is now ready to start its journey! To shut off the engine, press and hold the forward button (3) for 3 seconds until the front light goes out. To create steam, you need to fill the engine with cold water, using the water refill load (1) in the wagon behind the engine. Squeeze the refill and place it into a container filled with clean water, then release pressure, letting the water into the refill. Place the now water filled refill above the chimney at the front of the engine (2), and carefully inject the water into the chimney by squeezing the refill. Activate the lights, steam, and movement by pressing the red forward (3) or backward (4) button on the top of the engine. When pressing either of the buttons again, the train will come to a halt.

Keep in mind that:

• The steam from the engine is created without heat!
• An adult should help the child fill the refill load with water.
• For the best play experience, always play with the engine on clean tracks.
• The toy is intended for indoor play only.
• The child’s hair can easily get caught in moving parts.
• The toy is not water-resistant and shall not be washed in a dishwasher as well as come into direct contact with water. Wipe off the toy with a clean dry cloth to remove any foreign materials- The toy shall not be disassembled for safety reasons.
• The plastic in the toy can fade over time. Avoid strong sunlight and other heat sources.
• The engine will automatically shut down after 5 minutes of inactivity.

Installing and replacing batteries:

This Battery-Operated Steaming Train is powered by 2 x AAA 1,5V batteries (not included). Use a screwdriver to open the battery cover and loosen the safety screw (A). (see illustration). Install the batteries as shown (+/–). Close the battery cover by tightening the safety screw (see illustration).

Important:

• Only adults should install and replace batteries.
• Different types of batteries or new and used batteries are not to be mixed.
• Only recommended batteries of the same or equivalent type as recommended (1.5V) are to be used.
• Batteries are to be inserted with the correct polarity.
• Exhausted batteries are to be removed from the toy.
• The supply terminals are not to be short-circuited.
• Always remove batteries if the toy is not to be used for some time.
• Protect the toy from water or dampness.
• Do not attempt to recharge non-rechargeable batteries.
• Rechargeable batteries are to be removed from the toy before being charged.
• Rechargeable batteries are only to be charged under adult supervision.
• Used batteries and electrical components must be disposed of at an approved collection point.
• Electrical components or batteries must not be thrown with household waste.
