Names and Functions of the body of each part

1. USB port: Use the including USB cable toconnect the product to the computer.

Connect this product to the PC

Connect this product to the PC. Connect the connector of the supplied USB cable of USB port of this product, and connect the opposite connector to the USB port on your computer.
※ to connect to the USB hub there is a chance not to work properly.

Remove from the personal computer
If you want to remove this product from your computer, click on the task bar of the USB icon, Please remove it from by selecting the “Safely Remove Hardware”.

Operations on the personal Computer

[Confirm to Connection] Open the “My Computer”, make sure that the drive is being displayed.
※ Please review the steps (P.2) if you cannot use it again described above.
[Partition of creating and formatting (initialization) method] This product has been shipped after format. If you want to re-format, Please try the following operations.
Note: Please be careful that if there is data in the hard disk, all will be erased.

1. Please open my computer of desktop press “right click” and select “Control”.
   ※ If my Computer Management” window will be opened.

2. [tree] from the [Disk Management] of the “Computer Management” window Please choose “Disk Manager Service.” It will be displayed.

3. If the initialization of the HDD is not finished, right-click on the ****1 part, Select the “Initialize Disk”. If initialization has complete already move to work of 5).

4. If HDD less than 2TB, select “MBR” If HDD bigger than 2.5TB select “GPT” and press OK. HDD initialization will be completed.

5. in the **** & second part put on the right-click select the “New Simple Volume”.

6. “New Simple Volume Wizard”, will be appear then select the “Next”.

7. Specify the format area size at “specified volume size”.
   Divide the partition enter any size in the “Simple Volume size”
   Choose the “Next”. If it does not need to divide the partition than not to do press “Next”.

8. Specify a “drive letter or path assignment of” the drive letter (letter).
   If it’ s not need to specify and then select as it is “Next”.
   ※ drive letter will be change on the environment.

9. If it’s known the “Format Partition” of the settings, select the “Next”
   If it’s not need to specify and then select as it is “Next”.
   ※ If there is checked mark in the quick format than format time will be short.
   ※ If there is not checked mark in the quick format than format time will be long.

10. Select “Finish”

11. Wait until the formatting is complete.

12. Formatting is complete as like as image picture.

How to format

(in the case of Windows10)

1. Open the desktop screen.
2. on the lower left corner (near the circle of the image) of the desktop screen, then press right-click tap longer.
3. Select the “Disk Management”.
4. For other operation is the same way as 3 of P.4.
   ※ Please note that there is a different case at the actual Windows10 screen.
