INTRODUCTION

The PD108-527 patient remote provides IR control of PDI’s smart television models. This remote generates control codes in either a Bed A, B, C, or D format to control one of up to 4 televisions in one room.

SET THE TELEVISION BED CODE

If there is more than one television per room, each TV should be set to a unique code-set so that only one remote controls each TV. Use the television’s programming remote to set the television to either Bed A, B, C or D. Follow the user instructions provided with the television for this step.

SET THE PATIENT REMOTE BED CODE

Turn the TV On. Aim the remote at the TV and press the remote’s POWER button. If the TV shuts off, the remote is correctly set for that TV’s Bed code. If the TV does not turn off, use the following sequence to set the remote. Hold FUNC and the corresponding number for 2 seconds until the LED blinks.

  • FUNC + 1 = BED A (LED blinks once)
  • FUNC + 2 = BED B (LED blinks twice)
  • FUNC + 3 = BED C (LED blinks 3 times)
  • FUNC + 4 = BED D (LED blinks 4 times)

MOUSE MODE

The button toggles between the TV’s mouse mode and keyboard mode. Only smart TV’s support this function. When the TV is operating in mouse mode the arrow keys will move a mouse cursor, OK key will simulate left mouse click and PAGE UP/DOWN will simulate the mouse wheel.

ANTI-THEFT SCREW

After installing the batteries, an M2 x 5mm flathead screw may be used to secure the battery cover.

Troubleshooting

  • Install two high-quality 1.5V “AAA” alkaline batteries. Don’t mix old batteries with new batteries.
  • The red LED above the POWER key blinks when a code is transmitted.
  • Remove batteries when you won’t use the remote for a long time. Liquid leakage from old batteries may cause remote failure.
  • Make sure there are no objects between the remote control and the TV’s sensor that might block the signal.
  • Don’t place the remote control near a heater or in a damp place. Strong impact to the remote control may cause operational failure.
  • Signal from the remote control may be disturbed by sun light or other bright lights. In this case, darken the room or move the TV.
