Product Usage Instructions

Using Your Oven
To use your oven, follow these steps:

  1. Select the desired oven function.
  2. Set the temperature.
  3. Press the Start button.
  4. Once the set temperature is reached, place the food inside the oven and close the oven door.
  5. (Optional) Enter the desired cooking time.
  6. To cancel the function during or after the cooking time, you can use the Cancel button.

Using Your Range
Follow these instructions to use your range:

WARNING: Fire Hazard

  • Turn off all controls when done cooking. Failure to do so could result in death or fire.
  • The control knobs can be set anywhere between hi and lo. Push in and turn to the desired setting.

Oven Vent
The oven vent releases hot air and moisture from the oven and should not be blocked or covered. Blocking or covering the oven vent will affect cooking and cleaning results. Do not place plastics, paper, or other items that could melt or burn near the oven vent.

Oven Light
The oven light uses a 40 W halogen bulb. Before replacing, ensure that the oven and cooktop are cool and the control knobs are in the Off position.

To replace the oven light bulb:

  1. Disconnect power.
  2. Turn the glass bulb cover in the back of the oven counterclockwise to remove it.
  3. Remove the bulb from the socket.
  4. Replace the bulb, using tissue or wearing cotton gloves to handle it. Do not touch the bulb with bare fingers to avoid damage or decreasing its lifespan.
  5. Replace the bulb cover by turning it clockwise.
  6. Reconnect power.

Important: Do not use bulbs rated higher than 40 W.

Sabbath Mode
The Sabbath Mode sets the oven to remain on the bake setting until disabled. For guidance on usage and a complete list of models with Sabbath Mode, visit www.star-k.org or contact us using the information provided above.

Important Safety Instructions
When the range is in use or during the Self-Cleaning cycle (on some models), the entire cooktop area may become hot. Exercise caution and avoid contact with hot surfaces.

Aluminum Foil
Do not line the oven bottom with any type of foil or liner to avoid permanent damage to the oven finish. When using foil, do not cover the entire oven rack as air circulation is necessary for the best cooking results. Additionally, do not allow aluminum foil and meat probes to come into contact with heating elements.

Positioning Racks and Bakeware
To avoid permanent damage to the porcelain finish, do not place food or bakeware directly on the oven door or bottom.

Racks:

  • Position racks before turning on the oven.
  • Do not position racks with bakeware on them.
  • Ensure that racks are level.
  • To position a rack, pull it out to the stop position, raise the front edge, and then lift it out. Refer to the illustration in the user manual for guidance.

To position a rack, pull it out to the stop position, raise the front edge, and then lift it out. Use the following illustration as a guide.

Baking Layer Cakes on 2 Racks
For best results when baking cakes on 2 racks, use rack positions 2 and 4. Place the cakes on the racks as shown.

OVEN VENT
