  5. Turn the appliance off, remove the Battery when not in use, before assembling or disassembling parts and before cleaning.

  7. Do not operate any appliance with a damaged Battery, adapter or plug, after the appliance malfunctions, is dropped or damaged in any manner. Return appliance to the nearest Authorised Service Facility for examination, repair, or electrical or mechanical adjustment. This will ensure that the safety of the appliance and accessories is maintained.

  8. The use of attachments/accessories not recommended or sold by KitchenAid may cause fire, electric shock or injury to persons.

  9. Keep hands and utensils away from the cutting blade while chopping food to reduce the risk of severe injury to person, or damage to the appliance. A scraper may be used, but only when the appliance is not running.

  10. Blades are sharp. Handle thoroughly.

  11. To reduce the risk of injury, never place cutting blade on Base without first putting Bowl properly in place.

  12. Be certain cover is securely locked in place before operating the appliance.

  13. Do not attempt to defeat the cover interlock mechanism.

  14. Do not use an extension cord. Plug adapter directly into power source.

  15. Do not incinerate this appliance even if it is severely damaged. The Battery can explode in a fire.

  16. Allow the appliance to cool completely before putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning the appliance.

  20. Recharge only with the adapter specified by KitchenAid. A adapter that is suitable for one type of Battery may create a risk of fire when used with another Battery.

  21. Use appliances only with KitchenAid 12 V Battery. Use of any other Battery may create a risk of injury and fire.

  22. When Battery is not in use, keep it away from other metal objects, like paper clips, coins, keys, nails, screws or other small metal objects, that can make a connection from one terminal to another. Shorting the Battery terminals together may cause burns or a fire.

  23. Under abusive conditions, liquid may be ejected from the Battery; avoid contact. If contact accidentally occurs, flush with water. If liquid contacts eyes, additionally seek medical help. Liquid ejected from the Battery may cause irritation or burns.

  24. Do not use a Battery or appliance that is damaged or modified. Damaged or modified batteries may exhibit unpredictable behaviour resulting in fire, explosion or risk of injury.

  25. Do not expose a Battery or appliance to fire or excessive temperature. Exposure to fire or temperature above 129°C may cause explosion.

  26. Follow all charging instructions and do not charge the Battery or appliance outside of the temperature range specified in the instructions. Charging improperly or at temperatures outside of the specified range may damage the Battery and increase the risk of fire.

  27. Never service damaged Battery. Service of Battery should only be performed by the manufacturer or authorised service providers.

  28. Do not place the appliance on or near a hot gas or electric burner or in a heated oven.

  29. Do not use the appliance for other than intended use.

  30. Do not expose the appliance to rain — store indoors.

  31. Do not use the appliance in rain or wet conditions.

  32. Do not modify or attempt to repair the appliance or the Battery (as applicable) except as indicated in the instructions for use and care.

  33. When emptying the Bowl or during cleaning, be careful if hot liquid is poured into the food processor or blender as it can be ejected out of the appliance due to sudden steaming.

  35. Remove the Battery if the appliance is stored unused for a long period.

  36. If the Battery leaks, remove the Battery from the appliance and do not use the Battery again.

  37. Remove rechargeable batteries from the appliance before charging.

  • NOTE: If the USB Adapter does not fit fully in the power source, contact a qualified electrician. Do not modify the USB Adapter in any way.

GETTING STARTED

BEFORE FIRST USE

  1. Charge the Battery until it is fully charged.
  2. Clean all the parts and accessories (see “Care and Cleaning” section).
  3.  Remove all packaging materials, if present.
    NOTE: Some dust may be on the product. This is due to the recycled materials used in packaging. This can be cleaned with a soft towel.

BATTERY CHARGING

USING THE USB CABLE

  1. Attach the USB Cable to the adapter. Connect the other end of the USB Cable to the Battery.
  2. Plug the USB Adapter into a power source.

PRODUCT USAGE
IMPORTANT: Make sure the Battery is fully charged before using.

  1. Insert the Battery on the Battery slot located at the back of the appliance, making sure it is aligned. The LED will glow and display the Battery level for five seconds, then turn off.

  2. With the Handle facing the front of the Base, place the Bowl into the slots on the Base.

  3. Rotate and lower the Drive Adapter and then Multipurpose Blade or optional Whisking Accessory in the centre of the Bowl until it rests at the bottom.

  4. Add ingredients to the Bowl. Place the Lid on the Bowl. Twist and lock it into place. The Lid will click when properly locked into place.
    NOTE: The Cordless Food Chopper will operate with either the Multipurpose Blade or the Whisking Accessory in place, not both. Do not try to use both at the same time.

  5. Press and hold the button downward (Speed 1 or 2) to start. The LED will light and display the Battery level for five seconds, then turn off.
    IMPORTANT: The Bowl and Lid must be locked into place for the Cordless Food Chopper to operate.
    Use the Drizzle basin to conveniently add liquid ingredients while processing dressings, mayonnaises, sauces, and more. Use the Pour spout for easier serving.

  6. Release the button (speed 1 or 2) to stop chopping.
    IMPORTANT: Do not try to remove the Bowl while the motor is still running.

  7. Once processing is complete, remove the Lid, Drive Adapter, and Multipurpose Blade to use the Pour Spout.
    NOTE: The LED will light and display the Battery level for five seconds, then turn off.

  8. Press and hold the Battery Unlock Button to remove the Battery.

  9. Recommended volume for Multipurpose Blade: raw meat (0.7 lb), cheese (0.25 lb), vegetable (3 cup), quick pulse until desired size.
    TIP: A quick pulse is one second ON and one second OFF operation. Do not operate egg whip continuously more than 2 minutes.

CARE AND CLEANING

IMPORTANT: Allow the appliance to cool completely before putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning the appliance. Remove the Battery before removing or attaching parts, or before cleaning.

  1. Remove the Lid, Multipurpose Blade, and Drive Adapter.
  2. Dishwasher-safe parts — top rack only: Bowl, Lid, Whisking Accessory, Drive Adapter, and Multipurpose Blade.
  3. Wipe the Base with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the Base or Battery in water.
    NOTE: Mild dish soap may be used, but do not use abrasive cleaners.
    NOTE: For convenient storage, always reassemble the Cordless Food Chopper after cleaning.
