Ram1500 Rear Air Spring for Dodge
CAUTION:
Damage to the vehicle and air suspension system can be incurred if work is
carried out in a manner other than specified in the instructions or in a
different sequence.
- Not to be stored below 5oF (-15oC) or above 122oF (50oC).
- Avoid damage to airlines and cables.
- Removal and installation are only to be performed by fully qualified personnel.
- Use car manufacturer’s diagnostic software.
The air suspension system is under pressure (up to 10 bar, or 150 lbf/in). Do
not allow dirt or grease to enter the system. Always wear standard hand, ear,
and eye protection when servicing the air suspension system. Verify pressure
has been relieved and disconnect power to the air suspension system prior to
disassembly. To avoid the possibility of short circuits while working with
electric components consult your vehicle owner’s manual on how to disconnect
your battery.
Consult your vehicle owner’s manual, service manual, or car dealer for the
correct jacking points on your vehicle and for additional care, safety, and
maintenance instructions. Under no circumstances should any work be completed
underneath the vehicle if it is not adequately supported, as serious injuries
and death can occur.
AIR SPRING REMOVAL
Step1. Raise The Vehicle.
Step2. Remove The Applicable Rear Wheel.
Step3. Remove Wheel Well Liner.
Step4. Use The Scan Tool To Deflate The Air Spring Into The Reservoir.
Step5. Loosen And Remove The Air Line. (Figures 1, 2)
Step6. Push In The Locking Tabs
And Push Downward On The Air Spring To Dislodge It From The Vehicle.
(Figures 3,4)
Step7.Remove The Air Spring From The Vehicle Completely. (Figure 5)
Step8.Removal Complete.
AIR SPRING INSTALLATION
Tighten all nuts and bolts to manufacturer’s specifications during the installation process.
OE AIR FITTING REMOVAL
Prior To Inserting The Existing Air Line Into The New Air Fitting You Will
Need To Remove The Old Original Equipment Air Line Fitting.
NOTE: SCRATCHES AND/OR DEEP CUTS IN THE AIR LINE CAN RESULT IN POSSIBLE
LEAKS. INSPECT THE AIR LINE BEFORE INSERTION. AIR LINE NEEDS TO BE REPLACED IF
DAMAGED.

ARNOTT AIR FITTING INSTALLATION
AIR SPRING INSTALLATION
Tighten all nuts and bolts to manufacturer’s specifications during the
installation process Step1.Reinstall The Air Line And Tighten To
Manufacturer’S Specifications. (Figures 6, 7)
Step2.Install The New Air Spring
Into The Vehicle. (Figure 8)Step3.Use Jack Or
Stand To Raise Axle Until Spring Seat Contacts Bottom Mount. (Figure 9)Step4.Use The Scan Tool To Do A Short-Time Inflation.
(Figure 10)Step5. Remove Jack Or Stand From
Previous Step And Ensure Air Spring Is Seated Before Continuing With Full
Inflation.
Step6.Inflate Air Spring Completely. (Figure 11)Step7. Check The System’S Total Air Mass To Ensure That It Meets
Manufacturer’S Specifications.
Step8. Reinstall The Wheel Well Liner.
Step9. Reinstall The Wheel.
Step10. Lower The Vehicle.
Step11. Installation Complete.
Please make sure that you have tightened all the nuts and bolts to the
manufacturer’s specifications.
