Introduction of Working Mode

There are four working modes: Repeater Mode, Bridge Mode, AP Mode, Router Mode (PPPoE, Static IP, Dynamic

  1. Repeater Mode: Wireless connection to extend existing WiFi coverage.
  2. Bridge Mode: Similar to repeater mode, but will form an SSID independently. Setups: and set in Advanced Mode.
  3. AP Mode: Wired connection, converts wired Internet connection into wireless WiFi for expansion.

Setups: Enter the Software management page, and click AP mode. To facilitate management, the IP address and default gateway entered here should be the IP network segment of the superior router, and the IP address should not allowed to conflict with the IP of the superior router. After the setup is completed, the WAN port of the device is connected to the external network, and the management device can be accessed via the IP address you set.

  1. Note: When accessing the external network under AP mode, the IP address network segment obtained wireless by other mobile devices accessing the AP is assigned by the superior device.
  2. According to the default settings, no need to set the specific intranet IP address of the device. Or you can manually set the IP address of the network card for the computer’s local connection.
  3. After setting, the WAN port is connected to the external network, and other mobile devices can connect to the Internet by wireless connecting to the WiFi extender.

Router Mode: Connects to any modem and works as a standalone router.

Q&A

  1. What’s the role of a WiFi extender?
A: Boosts the range of your existing WiFi and creates a stronger signal in hard-to-reach areas. Please note that it can’t increase the WiFi speed of your router, the speed of the extending WiFi will be reduced.

  2. Where should I place the WiFi extender?
A: We would suggest that after setting up successfully, please move this WiFi extender halfway between your router and your weak signal area. The location you choose to install it must receive a WiFi signal of a certain strength, otherwise, it is prone to dropouts because the original WiFi signal is too weak.

  3. How to reset the WiFi extender?
A: Press the WPS/Reset button of your extender for 10 seconds then release it, and wait to restore factory settings, when you can search the initial WiFi signal of the extender again through your mobile phone or laptop, it means the reset is successful.

  4. Why the WiFi keeps disconnecting?
A: The installation is too far away from the router, causing the WiFi signal received by the repeater to be too weak. If you still have a WiFi disconnecting problem, please contact us via [email protected].

  5. After the setup is successful, connect to WiFi but cannot access the Internet.
A: There would be 3 reasons, setup unsuccessfully, WiFi password entered incorrectly, conflict with the host router.

  6. Connect the WiFi signal of the extender and re-enter the IP address to check the connection status. If it says “connecting” or “not connected”, it means that the setting is unsuccessful, you can try to change the browser to setup.

  7. WiFi passwords can not contain special characters, such as @, %, #, *, etc., and no more than 32 characters, if it does not meet this requirement, it is recommended that you change the host router’s WiFi password and then configure it.

  8. Reboot the host router and reset the extender before configuring.

  9. When logging in to the IP address, it prompts that the password is incorrect.

  10. Repeater default user name: admin, default password: admin, confirm whether the password is entered correctly.

  11. Cut off the power of the repeater, plug it in again, then restore the factory settings, connect the repeater WiFi, and log in to the IP again.

  12. What if the WiFi extender has broken?
A: We always offer friendly customer service for every customer. If there are any problems, please don’t hesitate to contact us via [email protected], we will solve it as soon as possible.
