Product Usage Instructions

Step 1: Download the Camera Firmware
Download the camera firmware according to your camera’s model number:

  • Tapo C310 V1
  • Tapo C310 V2
  • TC65 V1
  • Tapo C320WS V1

Once downloaded, unzip the file to reveal the .bin file.

Step 2: Connect the Problem Tapo Camera to the Computer
Connection Topology 1: Tapo Camera —- Router —- PC

  1. Connect the Tapo camera to the router using an Ethernet cable.
  2. Connect the computer to the router using another Ethernet cable.
  3. Change the IP settings of the computer network card:
    • IP address: in the 0 (Zero) network segment, e.g., 192.168.0.123
    • Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0

Connection Topology 2: Tapo Camera — Ethernet — PC

  1. Connect the Tapo camera to the computer using an Ethernet cable.
  2. Change the IP settings of the computer network card:
    • IP address: in the 0 (Zero) network segment, e.g.,  192.168.0.123
    • Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0

Step 3: Upgrading via Web Interface

Note : The web interface may vary depending on the camera model, hardware, or firmware versions.

  1. Launch a browser on the computer and visit http://192.168.0.10
  2. Click “Browse” to locate the path of the firmware file you downloaded.
  3. Click “Upgrade”. Do not interrupt the power supply during the upgrade process.

Once the upgrade is complete, you will see a “Upgrade Success” message.

Set a fixed IP address for the PC:

  • IP address: in the 0 (Zero) network segment, e.g. 192.168.0.123
  • Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0

Connection topology 2:
Tapo camera PC

  • After the connection is completed, change the IP settings of the computer network card (Figure 1-1).
  • Set a fixed IP address for the PC:
  • IP address: in the 0 (Zero) network segment, e.g. 192.168.0.123
  • Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0

Upgrading via web interface:

  • Click Browse to find the path of the firmware to be upgraded, and then click Upgrade. Do not interrupt the power supply during the upgrade process.
