Setup S1G Beacon
The FireBoard Beacon can be paired with a FireBoard account to track
temperatures and humidity from long distances with FireBoard S1GTM technology.
To set it up:
- Connect the FireBoard Antenna (sold separately) to the FireBoard’s aux port. Make sure the S1G connectivity is ready before proceeding.
- Power up the Beacon by opening the battery door using the small thumb screw and installing 2x AA batteries. It is recommended to use Lithium batteries for optimal performance in cold temperatures.
Add Beacon to Account
To add the Beacon to your FireBoard account:
- Setup or login to your FireBoard account via the FireBoard Mobile app.
- From the Devices tab, choose “Add FireBoard”.
- The app will scan and find nearby Beacons, sorted by serial number.
- Select the Beacon you want to add from the list.
- After adding, the Beacon will start transmitting temperature and humidity data automatically.
Configuration Settings
Beacon settings can be configured via the FireBoard Mobile App (Device,
Advanced Settings). The available configuration settings are:
- LED Indicator Brightness: Off, Dim (default), Normal, Bright
- Readings Interval Probe Configuration: 30s, 1m, 5m (default), 10m
- LED Indicator (blinks each sample read)
- Button (enables realtime mode)

Q: How long does the Beacon transmit data in real-time mode?
A: The Beacon transmits data in real-time mode for 10 minutes. After this period, you can push the small button on the back of the Beacon to re-enable real-time mode for another 10 minutes. -

Setup S1G
Beacon works with the FireBoard Antenna or other FireBoard S1G devices in order to transmit data at lower frequencies. Connect the Antenna (sold separately) to the FireBoard’s aux port. Make sure the S1G connectivity is ready before adding Beacon to your FireBoard account. -
Power up Beacon
Use the small thumscrew to open the battery door and install the 2x AA batteries. For optimal performance in cold temperatures, Lithium batteries are recommended. The Beacon will transmit data in real time for 10 minutes, making it easy to pair. After this period, the small button on the back of the Beacon can be pushed to re-enable real-time mode for 10 minutes. -
Add Beacon to Account
