Product Information
The Dinner Light Mini is a table lamp that provides warm white, pleasant lighting with a true-to-nature color rendering LED. It features a powerful battery that can provide burning time ranging from 10 up to 48 hours, depending on the dimming value. The lamp is infinitely dimmable, and the last brightness value is stored until the luminaire is switched on again. It also has a touch-sensitive switch on the luminaire head for easy on/off and dimming control.
The lamp comes with a USB-C interface in accordance with the EU directive on the standardization of charging cables across Europe. This allows for easy charging using a USB-C charging cable (supplied) and a commercially available USB charging adapter (not included). The charging process takes approximately 5.5 hours, and the battery status is indicated by a red light during charging and a green light when fully charged.

Usage Instructions:
Charging:
- The battery should be fully charged before first use. It is recommended to fully charge and discharge the light at least once a month to maintain battery performance.
- Connect the supplied USB-C charging cable to the USB-C charging socket in the lamp head.
- Connect the other end of the charging cable to a commercially available USB charging adapter (not included).
- The lamp will start charging, and a red light on the lamp head will indicate the charging process.
- Once the battery is fully charged, the control lamp will light up green.
On/Off and Dimming:
The soft-touch switch on the luminaire head allows for easy control of the lamp.
- Short touch: Turns the lamp on/off.
- Long touch: Dimming control. A longer touch will dim the lamp down or up.
The last dimming value is stored in the lamp’s memory and will be retained until the next time the lamp is switched on.
Caution:
- Protect the lamp from open flames to prevent the built-in battery from exploding.
- The lamp contains small parts and should not be played with by small children. It should only be operated under adult supervision.
- Do not connect the lamp to the mains permanently. Disconnect the mains plug from the lamp after charging to avoid battery overload.
FAQ:
Why is there no USB mains adapter included?
For environmental reasons, similar to Apple, the Dinner Light Mini is
delivered with a USB-C charging cable but without a mains adapter. USB
charging adapters are commonly available in
households, and modern sockets often have a built-in USB slot. This approach
aligns with the EU recommendation to reduce unnecessary electronic waste. If
you don’t have a USB power plug, you can easily purchase one from a local
electrician or online.
How can I maximize the lamp’s runtime?
At the highest brightness level, the table lamp can burn for up to 10 hours.
As the battery weakens, the lamp’s brightness will decrease. To maximize the
burning time, it is recommended to operate the lamp in a slightly dimmed
state. By doing so, the operating time can almost double with a single battery
charge while maintaining a barely noticeable loss of brightness.
What is the recommended charging duration?
It is recommended to charge the lamps overnight to ensure a full charge and
optimal battery performance.

INSTRUCTION
Our tip for a long lamp runtime
At the highest brightness level, the ta-ble lamp burns for up to 10 hours.
A sure sign of a weakening battery is the decreasing brightness of the lamp.
Now it is time to recharge the Dinner Light.
You can increase the burning time considerably if you operate the light in a
slightly dimmed state.
With a barely noticeable loss of bright-ness, the operating time will almost
double with a single battery charge. Try it out!
Why is there no USB mains adapter included?
For environmental reasons – just like Apple – we have decided to deliver our
rechargeable table lamps with a USB-C charging cable, but without a mains
adapter. Why?
Such USB charging adapters are no-wadays available in every household. Even
modern sockets actually have a USB slot for the supplied charging ca-ble. This
is exactly why we adhere to the EU recommendation, so as not to pollute the
environment with unne-cessary „electronic waste“.
And if you really don‘t have a USB pow-er plug at home, you can buy one for
little money at your local electrician or online.
Our recommendation: charge the lamps overnight
We advise our customers to charge their table lamps overnight with a 5V 2A
power supply unit. The charging time is usually about 5 hours (mini-mum 4 h –
maximum 6 h, the lamps have an overcharge protection).
It has proven to be very practical to connect the table lamp to the mains with
the charging cable in the evening and to disconnect it from the mains plug
again in the morning. Until then, the green control LED on the lamp head
signals that the built-in battery is fully charged.
The following evening, you will not be inconvenienced by the fact that your
Dinner Lights have no power.
Why was the change made from Micro-USB to USB-C port?
We are following the EU directive ac-cording to which USB-C will in future be
established as a uniform standard for (fast) charging of electronic devices
such as smartphones, tablets, came-ras, etc. The reason for this is simple.
The reason for this
is both simple and obvious:
the confusing multitude of available charging plugs will be reduced to a
uniform standard. Thus, consumers in Europe will be able to use only one
charger for all their electronic devices in the future.
This is not only consumer-friendly, but also reduces the annual volume of
electronic waste.
Are the built-in batteries actually replaceable/removable?
Yes, the built-in lithium-ion batteries can be replaced at the end of their
life (800 charging cycles) or removed from the lamp head for proper disposal.
The table lamp is designed so that the lamp head can simply be unscrewed and
opened. All you have to do is loo-sen the plug connection to the battery and
you can remove it and replace it with a battery of the same type.

„second life“.
Protection class IP54 – protected against splash water
The light and the USB-C port are splash-proof. However, it is not advisable to expose the lamp to permanently wet conditions.
Two-year manufacturer‘s warranty for your table lamp
We grant our customers a 2-year ma-nufacturer‘s warranty for each charli-que®
DINNER LIGHT from the date of purchase (batteries excluded).
This functional guarantee does not co-ver any damage caused by mechanical
pressure, such as scratches and dents or contamination.
Furthermore, we reserve the right to reject warranty claims if the table lights have not been used for their in-tended purpose or if our instructions and recommendations for use have not been followed.
WEAK BATTERiES? NOT iN THiS CASE
Proper handling of the built-in batteries greatly benefits their perfor-mance and life expectancy.
It is generally known that the per-formance of rechargeable batteries
decreases over time – this is also known from mobile phones. Howe-ver, this
phenomenon should be li-mited to 70% – 80% of their original performance.
The lifespan of batteries is a science in itself and there are many factors
that can influence it. While it is dif-ficult to make a general statement
about why a battery will only do its job for a certain period of time, it is
not possible to say for sure.
Regardless, battery life is determi-ned by the following influencing factors:
Heat, cold, overcharging, frequency of use, deep discharge, short circuit and
storage.
Therefore, it is recommended to avoid great heat and freezing cold, to
disconnect the charging plug af-ter fully charging, to recharge the lamp as
soon as it lights up noticea-bly weaker (please do not wait until it goes out
completely, avoid deep discharging).
If the table lamp is not used for a longer period of time, we recom-mend
charging and discharging the lamp at least once a month. This will
significantly increase the life expec-tancy of the battery (please do not
charge in an icy cold environment).
Our powerful lithium-ion batteries are designed for a service life of ab-out
800 charging cycles. This means that if the table lamp were to be di-scharged
and recharged every 2-3 days, this would correspond to a life expectancy of
about 6 years.
OVERVIEW
Can the LEDs be replaced?
No, the panel with the LED light points is permanently installed in the lamp
head and cannot be replaced.
This will also not be necessary, as the LEDs are designed for an extremely
long service life of up to 50,000 operating hours. With a daily use of three
hours, the LED panel would probably work for 45 years. The battery cannot keep
up with this lifespan.

your surroundings a unique atmosphere. The table lamp is cordless and can
therefore be used flexibly. Thanks to
its powerful rechargeable battery, the bundle of energy spreads its feel-good
ambience for between 10 and 48 hours and can be recharged again and again with
the USB-C cable supplied. What are the special features of the luminaire?

Charging – On/Off – Dimming
- The battery should be fully charged before first use. To maintain the high performance of the battery, it is helpful if the light is fully charged and discharged at least once a month.
- To charge the battery, use the supplied USB-C charging cable and connect them to the USB-C charging socket in the lamp head (as when charging a mobile phone). Connect the other end of the charging cable to the USB slot of a commercially available USB charging adapter (not included). Charging the table lamp takes about 5.5 hours.
- The charging process is signalled by a red light on the lamp head. As soon as the control lamp lights up green, the battery is fully charged.
- Briefly touching the soft-touch switch switches the lamp on and off, a long touch dims it down and up; the last dimming value is stored until the next time the lamp is switched on (memory function).
