Product Usage Instructions

Using the Mobile App
The mobile app provides wireless remote control of your sound level meter and allows you to document your measurements with embedded photos, videos, text, and voice commentary.

Download and install the Noise Partner app on your mobile device from the app store.
Ensure your B&K 2245 or HBK 2255 Sound Level Meter is turned on and in range of your mobile device.
Open the Noise Partner app on your mobile device.
Follow the on-screen instructions to connect your sound level meter to the app.
Once connected, you can use the intuitive touch controls on the app to set up the instrument and make measurements from a distance.
Real-time measurement views will keep you informed of your measurements and connection status remotely.
To document your work, you can embed photo, video, text, and voice annotations in your measurements.
If you are working as a team, you can share projects using a simple, login-free cloud-sharing tool.

Using the PC App
The PC app provides the tools you need to download, view, and report on your measurements.

Download and install the Noise Partner PC app from the official website.
Connect your B&K 2245 or HBK 2255 Sound Level Meter to your PC using a USB cable or other appropriate connection method.
Open the Noise Partner PC app.
Import measurement data to the PC app directly from the sound level meter or from a backup storage device.
Once imported, you can view measurement data in graphical and tabular formats.
You can also view measurement locations on a map and review the embedded annotations.
To share data, use the simple, login-free cloud-sharing tool to share a project with colleagues and stakeholders.

Combined with B&K 2245 or HBK 2255 Sound Level Meter, Noise Partner is a complete solution for basic broadband sound level measurements.

The Noise Partner app is available both as a mobile device app and a PC app. The mobile app provides wireless remote control of your sound level meter, as well as the ability to document your measurements with embedded photos, videos, text and voice commentary. The sound level meter

B&K 2245 and HBK 2255 are simple and easy-to-use class 1 sound level meters that are ergonomically designed. Their dust- and water-resistant bodies are rubberized for a secure grip.
Each sound level meter can be used as a stand-alone noise measurement device or with specially created apps designed to streamline measurement, analysis, and documentation. The licences installed on the sound level meter unlock functionality and enable connection to the apps.
The Noise Partner license enables all the measurement capabilities you need for broadband sound level measurement and analysis using either B&K 2245 or HBK 2255.

The PC app

Transfer and store data
All measurement data is stored on the sound level meter. Import measurement data to the PC app directly from the sound level meter or from a backup storage device. The sound level meter can be set up to transfer data automatically when it connects to the storage device, which can be a network- attached storage device or a USB key.
View data
Upon import, view measurement data in graphical and tabular formats. View measurement locations on a map, and review the embedded annotations.
Share data
Use the simple, login-free cloud-sharing tool to share a project with colleagues and stakeholders. The PC app is free to download so everyone will be able to view the project.
Create reports
A report generation tool quickly generates basic reports in Microsoft Word or PDF. Alternatively, export data to Microsoft Excel with master files, which allows you to create your own custom report template and to include your own calculations on exported data.
