Controls

  1. (Power)
    • Switch on or to standby.
  2. +/- (Volume)
  3. Decrease or increase the volume.
  4. Press and hold to decrease or increase the volume continuously.
  5. Tips: The soundbar speaker will save your volume adjustment, unless the power supply has been cut off. In the case that the power supply has been cut off, it will reset the volume to the original factory settings.
  6. (Input)
    • Select a sound input source: HD (HDMI ARC, default), RCA, USB, BT (Bluetooth), OPT (Optical), or AUX.

Tips: Next time you switch on the soundbar speaker, it returns to the last selected source.

Connectors

    • Connect to AC/DC adapter.

    • Connect to the audio output or earphone jack on your TV or digital device.
  3. OPTICAL IN
    • Connect to the optical output on your TV or digital device.

    • Connect to the HDMI ARC input on your TV.
  5. USB
    • Insert a USB storage device for audio play.

Remote control

  1. Switch on or to standby.
  2. Mute/unmute.
  3. MOVIE
    • Select EQ mode: movie.
  4. VOICE
    • Select EQ mode: voice.
  5. MUSIC
    • Select EQ mode: music.
  6. + Increase the volume.
    • Press and hold to increase the volume continuously.
    • Decrease the volume.
    • Press and hold to decrease the volume continuously.
    • Skip to the previous track.
    • Skip to the next track
    • Notes: The playback controls can be used for USB and Bluetooth modes only.
  7. Start, pause or resume playback.
  8. OPT
    • Select the optical digital audio source.
  9. AUX
    • Select the AUX IN source.
  10. USB
    • Select the USB input.
  11. HDMI
    • Select the HDMI ARC source.
  12. (Bluetooth)
    • Select the Bluetooth source.
    • Press and hold to connect another Bluetooth device.

DESKTOP PLACEMENT

Place the soundbar speaker on a flat and stable surface.

Notes

  • Wall-mounting is not supported.
  • The AC/DC adapter shall be properly connected to the soundbar speaker and power.
  • Do not place any objects on the top of the soundbar speaker.

CONNECT

TV connection

  • Connect the soundbar speaker with your TV through the supplied HDMI cable, optical digital cable, RCA audio cables, or 3.5mm audio cable.

Tips: You can also use the optical digital, RCA audio or 3.5mm AUX audio cable to connect the soundbar speaker with your digital device, such as a set- top box, DVD/Blu-ray player or game console.

Through the supplied HDMI cable

The HDMI ARC (Audio Return Channel) function sends digital sound from a TV to this soundbar speaker using just an HDMI cable. HDMI connectivity is the best option for your soundbar speaker.

  1. Connect the soundbar speaker with your TV by using the supplied HDMI cable.
  2. On your TV, check that HDMI-CEC and HDMI ARC have been enabled. Refer to the owner’s manual of your TV for more information.

Notes

  • Do not connect to any HDMI port on your TV not compatible with HDMI-CEC or HDMI ARC.
  • Full compatibility with all HDMI-CEC devices is not guaranteed.
  • Contact your TV manufacturer if you have problems with the HDMI-CEC compatibility of your TV.

Through an optical cable

  • Connect the soundbar speaker with your TV by using an optical cable.

Caution

  • If using an optical cable, remove the protective caps from both ends. Inserting the plug in the wrong orientation can damage the plug and/or the connector.

Through RCA audio cables

  • Use the two supplied RCA audio cables to connect the soundbar speaker to the RCA audio outputs on your TV.

Through 3.5mm audio cable

  • Connect the soundbar speaker to the Earphone jack on your TV by using the supplied 3.5mm audio cable.

Tips

  • While the 3.5mm AUX audio cable plug is inserted in the EARPHONE jack on your TV, the TV’s speakers are turned off.
  • Do not connect the soundbar speaker to a 3.5mm AV jack on your TV, for the AV jacks operate both sound and video with a single connection.
  • Make sure that you insert the audio cable plugs all the way into the jacks on your soundbar speaker and TV.

Bluetooth connection

  • Through Bluetooth, connect the soundbar with your Bluetooth device, such as a smartphone, tablet and laptop.

Connect a Bluetooth device

  1. Press to switch on (See “Power-on/Auto standby/Auto wakeup” in the “PLAY” chapter).
  2. To select Bluetooth source, press on the soundbar, or INPUT button on the remote control.
    • Flashing: Ready for Bluetooth pairing.
  3. On your Bluetooth device, enable Bluetooth and search for “MAGNEMA HT800” or “MAGNEMA HTS00X” within three minutes.
  4. On your Bluetooth device, select “MAGNEMA HT800″ or” MAGNEMA HTS00X” from the device list.
  5. If a PIN code is requested, enter “0000”.
  6. When the Bluetooth connection has been established, a tone will sound and the on the display will stop flashing.
    • displays solid: Bluetooth paired.

To reconnect the last paired device

  • Your Bluetooth device is retained as a paired device when the soundbar speaker goes to standby mode.
  • Next time you switch to the Bluetooth source, the soundbar reconnects the last paired device automatically.

To connect to another Bluetooth device

  1. In the Bluetooth source, press and hold on the remote for 2 seconds until a tone sounds and the on the display starts flashing.
    • The previously paired device is disconnected from the soundbar.
    • The soundbar enters the Bluetooth pairing mode.
  2. Follow the Step 3-6 under “Connect a Bluetooth device”.

Notes

  • The Bluetooth connection will be lost if the distance between the soundbar speaker and Bluetooth device exceeds 33 ft (10 m).
  • Electronic devices may cause radio interference. Devices that generate electromagnetic waves must be kept away from the soundbar speaker, such as microwaves and wireless LAN devices.

Connect a USB flash drive

  • Connect a USB flash drive to the USB port on the soundbar speaker.

Notes

  • USB flash drives will only fit in one direction.
  • Make sure that you insert the USB flash drives all the way into the USB port.

PLAY

Power-on/Auto standby/Auto wakeup

Switch on

  1. Connect the soundbar speaker to power by using the supplied AC/DC adapter.
  2. On the soundbar speaker, press to switch on.

Notes

  • Use the supplied AC/DC adapter only .
  • Before switching on the soundbar speaker, make sure that you have completed all other connections (See “TV connection” in the “Connect” chapter).

Auto standby

The soundbar speaker will switch to standby mode automatically when the soundbar speaker is inactive for more than 30 minutes; the soundbar speaker is connected to your TV through the HDMI ARC connection and your TV is switched to standby mode.

Tips

  • In standby mode, the display is turned off .
  • Next time you switch on the soundbar speaker, it returns to the last selected source.

Auto wakeup

  • In standby mode, the soundbar speaker will wake up automatically when the soundbar speaker is connected to your TV through the HDMI ARC connection and your TV is switched on.

Play from the HDMI ARC TV source

  • With the soundbar speaker connected with your TV, you can enjoy TV audio from the soundbar speakers.

  1. Make sure that your TV is set to support external speakers and the built-in TV speakers are disabled. Refer to the owner’s manual of your TV for more information.
  2. Make sure that the soundbar speaker has been properly connected to your TV (See “TV connection” in the “CONNECT” chapter).
  3. To select the HDMI ARC source, press on the soundbar speaker or INPUT/HDMI ARC button on the remote control.
    • ” Hd “: The HDMI ARC source is selected.

Tips: In the factory settings, the HDMI ARC source is selected by default.

TV remote control setup

  • To use your TV remote control for both your TV and the soundbar speaker, check that your TV supports HDMI-CEC.

HDMI-CEC

  • If your TV supports HDMI-CEC, enable the functions as instructed in your TV user manual.
  • You can control the volume+/-, mute/ unmute, and power on/standby functions on your soundbar speaker through the TV remote control.

Play from the Optical/RCA/AUX source

  1. Make sure that the soundbar has been properly connected to your TV or digital device through the supplied optical digital cable, RCA stereo audio cables, or 3.5mm AUX stereo audio cable.
  2. Press on the soundbar, or INPUT/OPT (optical)/AUX/RCA button on the remote control, to select your desired input source.
  3. Start play on your connected TV or digital device.
  4. Adjust the volume on the soundbar, TV or digital device.

Notes: If the volume level of your TV or digital device is substantially low, the volume adjustment on the soundbar may not be sufficient. In such a case, raise the volume level on the TV or digital device.

Play from the Bluetooth source

Through Bluetooth, stream audio play on your Bluetooth device to the soundbar speaker.

  1. Check that the soundbar has been properly connected to your Bluetooth device (See “Bluetooth connection” in the “CONNECT”chapter).
  2. To select the Bluetooth source, press on the soundbar speaker, or INPUT on the remote control.
  3. Start audio play on your Bluetooth device.
  4. Adjust the volume on the soundbar speaker or your Bluetooth device.

Play use f ash drives

  1. Make sure that a compatible USB flash drive has been properly insert into the USB port of your soundbar speaker.
  2. Press on the soundbar, or INPUT/USS button on the remote control, to select USB input source.
  3. Press to begin/pause playback.
  4. Press / to skip to previous or next track.
  5. Press and hold USB button on the remote to select one repeat mode:
    • ONE: Play and repeat the current track
    • FOO: Play and repeat all tracks in the current folder
    • RDO: Play and repeat all tracks in random order
    • ALL: Play and repeat all tracks in the same order as they are saved
    • OFF: Cancel repeat mode
  6. Adjust the volume on the soundbar speaker.

Notes

  • Not all USB flash drives are supported.
  • Supports max. capacity: 128GB.
  • Supports FAT32 file system {NTFS not supported).
  • Supports MP3/WMA/WAV music files only.
  • USB hubs are not supported.
  • Repeat function is available for USB input only.

SOUND SETTINGS

Bass/Treble adjustment

  • On the remote control, press BASS /or TREB / repeatedly to adjust the bass/treble level.

Tips: Next time you switch on the soundbar speaker, or select the EQ mode, it returns to the default bass and treble settings, without saving your bass or treble adjustment.

EQ mode

  • The preset EQ settings are available for different sound effects.
  • On the remote control, press EQ button repeatedly, or MOVIE/ VOICE/MUSIC button directly, to select a EQ mode: movie, voice, or music.

TROUBLESHOOTING

Never try to repair the product yourself. If you have problems, using this product, check the following points before you request services.

System

The unit will not turn on.

  • Check if the AC/DC adapter is plugged into power and the soundbar speaker.

Sound

No sound from the soundbar speaker.

  • Make sure that the soundbar speaker is not muted.
  • Make sure the volume is not set to “O”.
  • Make sure playback is not paused.
  • Select the correct audio input source on the remote control.
  • Connect the soundbar speaker to your TV or other devices properly.

Distorted sound or echo

  • If you play audio from your TV through HDMI ARC connection, make sure that your TV is muted or the built-in TV speaker is disabled.
  • If the volume from your connected TV or digital device is raised excessively, the sound may distort. If this occurs, adjust the volume on the TV or digital device appropriately.

Bluetooth

A device cannot be connected with the soundbar speaker

  • Check if you have enabled Bluetooth on the device.
  • If the soundbar speaker has been paired with another Bluetooth device, press and hold *to disconnect the previously paired device and search for new Bluetooth device.

Poor audio quality from a connected Bluetooth device

  • The Bluetooth reception is poor. Move the source device closer to the soundbar speaker, or remove any obstacle between the source device and the soundbar speaker.

The connected Bluetooth device connects and disconnects constantly

  • The Bluetooth reception is poor. Move the source device closer to the soundbar, or remove any obstacle between the source device and the soundbar speaker.

Remote control

The remote control does not work.

  • Check if the batteries are drained. If so, replace them with new ones.
  • Reduce the distance and angle between the remote control and the main unit.

MAGNEMA Electronics warrants your new product to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of twelve (12) months, from the date of receiving. This warranty is in addition to your rights under Amazon’s return and refund policies which apply to your purchase.

MAGNEMA will provide you with a brand-new replacement (where possible) for this product if it becomes defective within the warranty period. MAGNEMA will bear the reasonable expense of claiming the warranty. This warranty will no longer apply where the defect is a result of alteration, accident, misuse, abuse, or neglect.
