Can the Aqara Door and Window Sensor beconnected to the mobile phone

directly?

The Aqara Door and Window Sensor cannot beconnected to the mobi le phone direc tly. An Aqara Hub is required, please connect theAqara Hub with the mobi le phone, and thenconnectthe Aqara Door and Window Sensor to thehub.

What functions does the Aqara Door andWindowSensor have?

How do I install the Aqara Door and WindowSensor? Can I change the position

of thesensorunit and the magnet unit?

1. Line up the sensor unit and the magnet unit ac cording to the mounting mar k as showninthequic k start guide. Attach the sensor unit tothefixed surface and the magnet to the surfacethat wi l l be opened. 2. The di stance between the sensor unit andthemagnet unit should be less than 22 mm(7/8inch). 3. The exac t position can be changed but ensurethat the sensor unit and the magnet unit areinstal led in al ignment. 4. Because of the complex indoor environment, adjus ting the di stance between the Aqara Hubandthe Aqara Door and Window Sensor can improvethe overal l result. 5. Avoid ins tal l ing sensor s on metal surfacesbecause of the adver se effect this can haveonthesignal.

How do I know if the Aqara Door and WindowSensor works properly?

What can I do if the Aqara Door and WindowSensor goes offline?

Poss ible reasons: 1. The ac cessor y is too far away fromthehub. Please tr y to instal l the acces sor y closer tothehub.Normal ly, we recommend 7 - 10 meter s as themaximum di stance from the hub for the sensor. 7~10 meter s is the ideal environment, thereneedsto be no obstacles affecting the networ k. 2. Low batter y or dead batter y. Please replacethebatter y. 3. The ac cessor y is instal led on a metal surfaceand the signal is interfered with. Please avoidmetal surfaces .

Why does the Aqara Door and WindowSensornot power on?

1.Please confirm if the blue batter y tape waspul ledout. 2.Please chec k if the batter y has a ful l charge

Why does the Aqara Door and WindowSensornot work sometimes?

1. The sensor unit and magnet unit might betoofaraway from each other. Make sure the gap betweenthe sensor unit and the magnet unit is no morethan22 mm (7/8 inch). 2. The Aqara Hub might be too far away fromthesensor. Press the reset button of the sensor at theinstal lation location. If the Aqara Hub makesvoiceprompts , it indi cates the Aqara Hub communicateseffectively with the sensor. If not, please movethesensor closer to the Aqara Hub.

Does the Aqara Door and WindowSensor support other brands’ hubs?

The Aqara Door and Window sensor must bepairedwith an Aqara Hub. We do not support andcannot guarantee the rel iabi l it y of the sensor whenpairedwith non-Aqara product s.

What if I could not connect the Aqara Door andWindow Sensor to the app?

1. Check to see if the hub' s firmware ver sionisupto date. 2. Check if the hub is already in the pairingmode. 3. Check if the sensor is reset suc cessful l y, andthe LED indi cator is bl inking as expec ted. 4. Keep the sensor as close as possible tothehuband keep tr y ing. 5. Tr y with another chi ld devi ce to see if thereissomething wrong with the sensor itself. 6. Tr y with another hub and see if there is something wrong with the prev ious hub. 7. Please be aware that we can add no morethan32 chi ld devi ces to a hub at the same time.
