Preparation Before Use

• Make sure the area to be stapled is free of paint and clean. Remove any oils or residues from the plastic surface.

• Install the welding gun and power plug to the main unit. Turn on the power. Without pressing the switch button on the welding gun, carefully insert the desired staple into one of two arbitrary positions on the end of the copper rod  of the welding gun. Once pressed to the bottom of the hole, the machine is ready for use.
  

• Turn the control dial to the second or third position, unless very low heat levels are desired. These two positions satisfy most welding applications.

Operation Steps

• Sand the paint clean from the cracks in the vehicle.
• According to the crack, select the appropriate staple to install on the copper rod. (Note: It is forbidden to press the switch during the process of installing the staple).
• The power can be selected according to the thickness of the car model.
• Press the switch, and then release it after heating the staple. Quickly press the staple into the plastic case.
• Allow cooling slightly to remove the welding gun.
• Clip off the staple with the supplied diagonal cutter.
• Caution: When clipping off the staple prongs, wear eye protection and cup your hand over the staple to prevent the clipped wire from becoming a projectile.

General Precautions

• Before disassembling the main unit, please plug out the lead cable.
• The operators must have the appropriate qualification.
• The operations of servicing can only be controlled by qualified technicians.
• The operator is responsible for the respect of the car manufacturers ‘recommendations, concerning the protection of electrical and electronic procedures (car computer, car radio, alarm, airbag, etc…)
• Before an operation of servicing, the power supply with compressed air must be cut off and offloaded.
• The staples can reach a very high temperature and remain hot 5 seconds after having stopped the machine. Be careful: high risk of burns.
• It is necessary to make regular preventive maintenance.

Electricity

• Check that the unit must be connected to the earth coupler and that the connection to the earth is in good condition.
• Check that the workbench is connected to the earth coupler.
• Make sure that the operator has no contact with the staples to be welded without any protection.
• Avoid being in contact with the welding part.
• Don’t perform hot stapler opera- tions in very wet areas or on a wet floor.
• Don’t weld with worn-out cables.
• Check that there is no default with the isolation with stripped cables or with loose connections.
• Switch off the unit before replacing the staples.
• Before controlling or repairing, please disconnect the unit directly to the level of the plug.

Smokes and Gas

• Welding operations can cause the emission of toxic smoke and harmful metallic dust. Use the device in a sheltered place equipped with smoke aspirators.
• The operator must wear an anti-smoke mask.
• The welding material must be de- greased and cleaned in order to limit the toxic gas during the welding process.

Fire

• Check whether the welding process could cause fire, especially near inflammable material.
• Check that fire extinguishers are not too far from the operator.
• Place the equipment in a place where there is air flow.
• Don’t weld either on containers of combustibles and lubricants, even empty or on containers with in- flammable material.
• Don’t weld in an atmosphere full of inflammable gas or fuel steam.

Electromagnetic Compatibility

Near the staples welding, check :
There is neither any other power supply cable nor control lines, phone cables, radio or TV reception appliances, watches, mobile phones, magnetic cards, computers, or any other electronic appliance. Make additional protections of other  products used in the same environment.

  If the product releases the circuit breaker for installation protection, please check that you have the right caliber and type of circuit breaker.

Warranty Service

There are 2 years’ warranty for MR CARTOOL product main unit and 1 year warranty for the accessories since the day the customers have received the product parcel.

Warranty Access

• Repair or replace the equipment will be done according to the specif ic fault conditions.
• We guarantee that all replacement parts, accessories or equipment are brand new.
• When there is a product breakdown that can not be solved within 90 days, customer should provide video and pictures as proof, we will bear the freight cost and provide customer the accessories in need to replace. After receiving the  product for more than 90 days, the customer shall bear the freight cost, we will provide the accessory for free to replace.

Not Covered Warranty

• Items that come through the unofficial MRCARTOOL purchase channel.
• Product failure is caused by incorrect use of the product, use for other wrong purpose or human factors.
