Operating Instructions

Before each use
Inspect the entire machine for damaged, missing or loose parts such as screws,
nuts, bolts, caps, etc. Tighten securely all fasteners and caps, and do not
operate this machine until all missing or damaged parts are replaced. Get
familiar with the controls and the proper use of the machine. Check the
functioning of the machine before each use and, in case of a defect, have it
repaired immediately by a qualified person. Never open the housing of the
machine yourself. Never operate the machine with a defective tube, nozzle (H)
or the housing. Replace worn or damaged parts. Keep all nuts, bolts and screws
tight to be sure that the machine is in a safe working condition.
To attach/detach battery pack
- WARNING
Battery tools are always in operating condition. Therefore, remove the battery when assembling parts, making adjustments, cleaning, when the tool is not in use, or when carrying it at your side. Removing the battery pack will prevent accidental starting that could cause serious personal injury. OVIN
To attach the battery pack
- Align the ribs of the battery pack with the mounting slots in the blower’s battery port.
- Press the battery pack toward the blower body until it snaps into position.
NOTICE
- Make sure that the battery pack is secured to the blower before beginning operation.
- When placing the battery pack onto the tool, make sure that the raised rib on the battery pack aligns with the groove inside the tool and that the latches snap into place properly. Improper attachment of the battery pack can cause damage to internal components.
To detach the battery pack
Depress the battery release button located an the front of the battery pack to
release the battery pack. Pull the battery pack out and remove it from the
tool.
To assemble the tube
- Align the groove in the tube (A) with the knob on the blower housing. Push the tube (A) onto the blower housing until it snaps into place (Fig. 2) Pull on the tube (A) to ensure that it is securely attached to the blower.
- Align the lock lever of the nozzle (H) with the knob on the tube (A). Push the nozzle (H) onto tube (A) until it snaps into place (Fig. 3).
- To remove the tube (A), press and hold down the tube release button (B), and then pull the tube (A) straight from the blower (Fig. 4).
- To remove the nozzle (H), depress the lock lever, and pull the nozzle (H) straight from the tube (A) (Fig. 5).
To start/stop the blower
NOTICE
Before switching on the blower, ensure that it is not in contact with any
object.
- Turn the on/off dial (D) to “1” to switch the blower on (Fig. 6).
- The air flow control can be adjusted from “1” to “Max” (maximum) by turning the dial (D). Adjust the speed to suit the task at hand.
- Turn the dial (D) to “O” to switch off the blower. After switching off the blower, the motor continues to run for a few seconds.
CAUTION
Always remove the battery pack from the blower during work breaks and
after finishing work.
To operate the blower
- While working, always hold the blower by the grip areas) (Fig. 7).
- To keep from scattering debris, blow around the outer edges of a debris pile. Never blow directly into the center of a pile.
- To reduce sound levels, limit the number of pieces of equipment used at any one time.
- Use rakes and brooms to loosen debris before blowing. In dusty conditions, slightly dampen surfaces if water is available.
- Conserve water by using power blowers instead of hoses for many lawn and garden applications, including areas such as gutters, screens, patios, grills, porches, and gardens.
- Watch out for children, pets, open windows, or freshly washed cars, and blow debris safely away.
- After using blowers or other equipment, clean up! Dispose of debris properly.
Cleaning and Maintenance
CAUTION When servicing, use only identical replacement parts. Use of any other parts could create a hazard or cause machine damage. Periodically inspect the entire machine for damaged, missing, or loose parts such as screws, nuts, bolts, caps, etc. Tighten securely all fasteners and caps, and do not operate this machine until all missing or damaged parts are replaced.
Cleaning
CAUTION To avoid serious personal injury, always remove the battery pack
from the tool when cleaning or performing any maintenance.
- Always keep the machine clean (especially ventilation slots (C)).
- Avoid using solvents when cleaning plastic parts.
- Most plastics are susceptible to damage from various types of commercial solvents and may be damaged by their use.
- Wipe the surface with a dry cloth to remove dirt, dust, oil, grease, etc.
CAUTION Do not at any time let brake fluids, gasoline, petroleum-based products, penetrating oils, etc. come in contact with plastic parts. Chemicals can damage, weaken, or destroy plastic, which may result in serious personal injury.
Storage
- Disconnect the battery pack.
- Clean all foreign material from the air inlets of the blower.
- Store indoors in a place that is inaccessible to children. Keep away from corrosive agents such as garden chemicals and deicing salts.
- Your blower is equipped with a storage rail (l) for hanging. To use it, securely mount the storage rail (I) horizontally leveled on the wall with 2 screws (not supplied). Use screws sufficiently strong to hold the combined weight of the blower. Hang the blower onto the storage rail (l) using the storage hook (F) (see Fig. 8).
Service
WARNING Preventive maintenance performed by unauthorized personnel may
result in misplacing of internal wires and components, which could cause a
serious hazard. We recommend that all machine service be performed by a
professional repair center.
