HOW TO USE

  1. Rinse the Rice : Before adding rice to the cooker, it’s a good practice to rinse it under cold water until the water runs clear. This helps remove excess starch and improves the texture of the cooked rice.
  2. Measure the Rice and Water : Use the provided measuring cup (usually included with the rice cooker) to measure the desired amount of uncooked rice. Refer to the cooker’s user manual to determine the correct water-to-rice ratio for the type of rice you’re using. Typically, the ratio for white rice is 1:2 (one cup of rice to two cups of water).
  3. Add Ingredients : Place the rinsed rice into the inner cooking pot of the rice cooker. Add the appropriate amount of water according to the rice type and your desired texture. You can also add a pinch of salt or a teaspoon of oil for flavor, if desired.
  4. Close the Lid : Make sure the inner cooking pot is securely placed in the cooker, and then close the lid.
  5. Select Cooking Function : Most digital rice cookers come with different cooking functions, such as “White Rice,” “Brown Rice,” “Steam,” and more. Select the appropriate function for your rice type. If your rice cooker has a digital display, use the control panel to make your selection.

All traditional one-touch and digital rice & grain cookers work on the same principle—an inner pot sits atop a heated plate that brings liquid in the pot to a rolling boil. The water will continuously boil until it is completely absorbed by the grain or boils off as steam. A temperature sensor in contact with the pan senses once the temperature has risen above that of boiling water and will then reduce its heat to Keep Warm mode, which will keep contents at an optimal serving temperature without ever burning or overcooking your grain.

What is a Sensor logic technology?

The answer is Sensor Logic® Technology. Unlike most other traditional digital rice cookers on the market, this smart, revolutionary technology is optimized to automatically sense and control the internal temperature throughout the cooking cycle for unbeatable texture and flavor. The cycle begins by preheating the rice and liquid to optimal low soaking temperatures in order to efficiently break down any starch or bran layers–preventing your cooked rice from becoming too mushy or moist. The cooker will then soak the grains at this temperature to continue the breakdown process and to allow each grain to absorb moisture. Once sufficiently soaked, the cooker will maintain a steady heat at around boiling temperature to cook the grains, but will automatically fluctuate depending on how much liquid or moisture the technology senses—effectively preventing overcooked rice. Reaching the end of the cooking cycle, the cooker will output a final heat surge to remove any and all excess moisture from the rice. When the rice has finished cooking, Keep Warm mode will then be automatically initiated to keep your rice and grains at perfect serving temperatures!

Whats a rice measuring cup?

While a standard U.S. cup measure is 240 milliliters, a rice measuring cup according to rice industry standards is much smaller at 180 milliliters.
