- Ensure that the available storage is greater than 850MB.
This process will guide users through making room for the Fioptics+ app update if the user set-top box does not have enough memory to automatically download the update when initiated by the network.
Begin by checking how much memory is currently available on the set-top box:
- Go to Menu
- Select Device Settings
- Select Device Preferences
- Select Storage
- Select Internal Shared Storage
- Ensure the available storage is greater than 850MB
- If necessary to free up storage space, go back to the Apps menu under Device settings to uninstall any unused apps.
- Once enough space has been freed up, go back into Device Preferences then About, and then System Update. This will have the set-top box go out and pull down the latest update.
- Once the above steps are complete, reboot the set-top box by unplugging and plugging back in the set-top box.
