SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Read these instructions carefully and retain them for future use. If this product is passed to a third party, then these instructions must be included.
When using electrical devices, basic safety orecautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and/or injury to persons including the following:

• Do not charge non-rechargeable batteries due to risk of explosion.

• This charger is intended for use with Ni-MH, IMR, Ni-Cd, Li-ion and LiFePo4 rechargeable batteries only. Attempting to charge other types of batteries may cause personal injury and damage to the charger.

• Do not expose the charger to rain or moisture.
  For indoor use only.

• Unplug from power source when not in use.

• Do not operate the charger if it has been subjected to shock or damage. Take it to a qualified serviceman for repair.

• Do not disassemble the charger. Incorrect reassembly may result in a risk of electric shock or fire.

• Unplug the charger from the power source before attempting any maintenance or cleaning. Use a damp cloth to clean the surface. Do not immerse in water.

• Before disposing of your charger, remove the batteries from the unit and dispose of them safely. This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.

• Children may not play with the appliance.

• Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.

Battery Warnings

• Always insert batteries correctly with regard to the polarities (+ and -) marked on the battery and the battery compartment.
• Batteries may leak or explode causing personal injury if inserted improperly, disposed of in fire, mixed with other battery types or short-circuited.

Intended Use

• This charger is designed to recharge Ni-MH, Ni-Cd, Li-ion, IMR and LiFePo4 rechargeable batteries only.
• This charger can be operated either by a power adapter with 5 V , 2.1 A output or by a 12 V , 1 A vehicle cigarette plug adapter (adapter is not provided).
• This product is intended for household use only. It is not intended for commercial use.
• This product is intended to be used in dry indoor areas only.
• No liability will be accepted for damages resulting from improper use or non-compliance with these instructions.

Before First Use

• Check for transport damages.

Risk of suffocation! Keep any packaging materials away from children — these materials are a potential source of danger, e.g. suffocation.

Charging Instructions

• Connect the charger using the supplied Micro USB to USB-A cable to the 5 V , 2.1 A power adaptor ortoa12V ,1A vehicle cigarette plug socket (adapter is not provided).
• Insert 1 or 2 rechargeable Ni-MH / Ni-CD / Li-ion / LiFePo4 / IMR batteries into the battery compartment. Always insert batteries correctly with regard to the polarities (+ and —) marked on the battery and the battery compartment. If the battery is incorrectly placed, the “Error” icon will be shown on the LC display.
• The charging starts and the “CHARGE?” icon will be shown on the LC display.
• Press the SLOT button to display charging information for slot 1 or 2 respectively.
• Press the MODE button to switch the charging current between 500 mA/ 1000 mA (for Li-ion , IMR and LiFePo4 batteries only).
• When charging is completed, the “Finish” and ( ) icon will be shown on the LC display.

Operation

SLOT / MODE

| When 2 batteries are charging at the same time, press SLOT button to select the charging  slot (1) or (2). Then you can view the individual charging information (i.e. battery type, charging status, charging current, charging voltage & charging time) for the selected charging slot.

| The initial charging current is 500mA for all supported battery types. To select current for Li-ion, IMR and LiFePo4 rechargeable batteries. Press MODE button to switch the charging mode (500mA or 1000mA).
| Hint: To protect the battery life, do not change the preset 500mA for battery capacities of or below 1 000mAh. For battery capacities over 1000mAh, switch the charging mode to 1000mA in order to enjoy a faster charging experience.
| To charge LiFePo4 batteries (3.0V — 3.3V), press the SLOT & MODE buttons at the same time. The ‘LiFePo4’ icon will be shown on the LC display.

Reverse / Bad Cell / Short-Circuit
Reversing the battery polarity, incorrectly inserting the battery, inserting an alkaline battery or short-circuiting will result in charging failure. The “Error” icon will be shown on the LC display. Should this occur, reposition / replace / remove the battery from the slot.

Cleaning and Maintenance

Cleaning

• To clean, wipe with a soft, slightly moist cloth.
• Dry the product after cleaning.
• Never use corrosive detergents, wire brushes, abrasive sources, metal or sharp utensils to clean the product.

Maintenance

• Store in a cool and dry place away from children and pets, ideally in original packaging.
• Avoid any vibrations and shocks.
