Important information on rechargeable batteries and disposal
Used batteries do not belong in household waste. As a consumer, you are legally obliged to return used batteries for professional disposal. You can drop off your batteries at the public collection points in your community or wherever batteries of the same type are sold.
- Children can not touch the batteries by hand.
- Do not heat the battery to over 60 °C and do not throw it into fire: risk of fire, explosion and fire
- Do not short-circuit the battery.
- Do not try to open batteries.
- When charging the battery, stay close by and check its temperature regularly.
- Do not subject the battery to any mechanical stress. Avoid dropping, hitting, bending or cutting the battery * In the event of severe overheating, stop charging immediately. A battery that overheats or deforms when charging is defective and must no longer be used.
- When charging the battery, make sure that the polarity of the charging plug is correct. If the charging plug connection is incorrect, the charger is unsuitable or the polarity is reversed, there is a risk of short circuits and explosion!
- Never completely discharge the battery, this shortens its lifespan.
- If the battery is to be stored for a longer period of time, a residual capacity of approx. 30% of the charging volume is recommended.
- Avoid direct sunlight at the storage location. The ideal temperature is 10-20°C.
- Check the charge level regularly every 6-12 weeks and recharge the device to the desired level.
