IMPORTANT.

  • Oil or fat must never be overheated as this may cause fire. Never use water to extinguish fires caused by fat or oil! To extinguish the fire, cover the flame with a metal lid or another pot. Never leave your hob unattended!
  • This product is not suitable for deep-frying.
  • Use potholders or oven mitts when handling hot cookware.
  • Never leave cookware unattended while in use.
  • KitchenAid cookware is oven safe up to 220°C, glass lid included.
  • To avoid damage to the cookware, do not use under the grill.
  • To avoid damage, do not use in the microwave.

USING YOUR COOKWARE.

Before First Use

  • Remove all packaging materials and labels. Please recycle properly.
  • Wash in warm soapy water; rinse and dry thoroughly with a soft cloth.

Heat Sources
Safe for use on all cooking surfaces, including induction.

Recommendations for use on induction cooktops

  • Induction cooktops develop a very intense heat in a very short time. The cookware will heat up very quickly on induction cooktops.
  • When cooking on an induction hob, the diameter of the base of the pan must be as large as the diameter of the heat source. If the pan is too small, the hob may not heat up because it does not recognise the pan.
  • When cooking on an induction hob, the pan may make a buzzing sound. It doesn’t mean that anything is wrong with the pans.

Using the Glass Lid

  • Avoid extreme temperature changes when using glass lids.
  • Do not submerge a hot lid in cold water.
  • If a lid vacuum occurs, do not attempt to remove the lid. First, turn off the heat source and move the entire pan away from the burner. Then, slowly release the lid.
  • Do not use glass lids that have cracks or scratches. If your lid is cracked or has deep scratches, breakage can occur spontaneously. Please contact the Customer Service to order a new lid.
  • Do not place glass lids directly on top of or directly under heating elements.

Handles and Knobs

  • Loose handles periodically check handles and knobs to be sure they are not loose. If the handles become loose, do not try to repair them. Please contact Customer Service for a replacement.
  • Handle position when cooking: position pans so that handles are not over other hot burners and do not allow handles to extend beyond the edge of the stove where they can be knocked off.
  • The stainless steel handles are oven safe up to 220°C. Always use potholders or oven mitts when handling hot cookware.

COOKING.

  • Cook on a burner that is similar in base diameter to the cookware you have selected.
  • When cooking on a gas stove, adjust the flame so it does not flare up the sides of the cookware, otherwise the handles will become hot.
  • Use of a lid when cooking considerably reduces energy consumption.
  • Use your cookware at low to medium settings.
  • We recommend using oil or butter when cooking. Remember, some oils and fats burn at lower temperatures. Use oils and fats that have a high smoke point. If cooking with oil, add room temperature oil to preheated cookware.
  • Do not use any type of oil sprays, including aerosols, mist and pump sprays. These sprays can cause residue build-up that is difficult to remove from all types of cookware.
  • Do not rush the preheating process by using high heat.
  • Allow the oil/butter to heat up in the cookware before adding food.
  • When using halogen, ceramic and induction hobs, ensure that your hob and cookware are free from debris so as not to scratch the hob’s surface.
  • Never shuffle or drag pans across the stove top during cooking as this may cause scratching. Always lift the pan.

CARING FOR YOUR COOKWARE.

Cleaning cookware

  • Allow cookware to air cool, and clean thoroughly after every use.
  • Do not put hot cookware under cold water. Allow the cookware to cool completely.
  • This KitchenAid cookware is dishwasher safe. For best results in the dishwasher, use the manufacturer’s recommended dishwasher detergents and cycles. To extend the life of your cookware, hand washing with hot, soapy water is recommended.
  • Slight discolorations on stainless steel can occur over time, this is normal. Overheating may cause brown or blue stains on your cookware. Exposure to salt, moisture or acidic foods can also cause white spots or white film on your cookware. Additionally, other items also cleaned in the dishwasher at same time (knives, cutlery/flatware) can leave small spots of corrosion on cookware. On stainless steel surfaces polishing may remove these stains and spots. To polish your pans use a soft cloth and lemon juice or vinegar or a stainless steel cleaner and rub with a circular motion. Wash, rinse and dry.
  • Use a sponge or dishcloth when hand cleaning cookware; do not use oven cleaners, harsh detergents, chlorine bleach, steel wool or nylon scrubbing pads. Hand dry with a soft towel.
  • Always ensure the cookware is clean before storing.

Cleaning the Glass Lid

  • Never use metal utensils, sharp instruments, oven cleaners, or other harsh abrasives that may damage or weaken the glass.
  • Glass lids may be washed in the dishwasher. You can also wash lids in hot, soapy water; then dry immediately to avoid water spots.

Storing cookware Properly

  • Always nest your clean KitchenAid cookware carefully. The usage of pan protectors is recommended.
