Important Safeguards
Read these instructions carefully and retain them for future use. If this product is passed to a third party, then these instructions must be included.

The installation must comply with all applicable local or national codes, including the latest edition of the following standards:
– For US: ANSI/NFPA70, National Electrical Code (NEC)
– For Canada: CSA C22.1, Parts I & II, Canadian Electrical Code
– For Mexico: Mexican Electrical Code, NOM-001-SEDE]. -
It is recommended that a qualified electrician perform the installation, especially if you are unsure about any part of these instructions.

This product is rated 15 A 120-277 V AC and must be connected to a suitable power source.

Do not install near water or heat sources.
-
Contact the municipal building department to learn about applicable local codes, permits and/or inspections.

Install only in a suitable UL Listed switch box.
-
For supply connections, use only 14 AWG solid wires suitable for at least 167 °F (75 °CJ.
-
For supply connections, use copper wires only.
-
Maximum wire length between the product and the appliance should not exceed 98′ (30 m).
-
Do not attempt to disassemble, repair, or modify the product.

For indoor use only.

Intended Use
- This product is intended to be used as a wall switch. It is intended to replace a standard switch receptacle.
- This product is intended for singe pole connection and 3-way connection.
- This product is intended to be used in dry indoor areas only.
Before First Use
⚠ DANGER Risk of suffocation!
Keep any packaging materials away from children and pets – these materials are
a potential source of danger, e.g. suffocation.
- Remove all the packing materials.
- Remove and review all components before use.
- Check the product for transport damages.
- Before connecting the product to the power supply, check that the power supply voltage and current rating corresponds with the power supply details shown on the product rating label.
Electrical Wiring
Tools needed
Remove existing switch
- Unscrew and remove the existing wall plate (Fig. 1).
- Unscrew and remove the existing switch receptacle (Fig. 2).
Wiring methods
There are 2 methods of wiring the product. Side wiring
NOTICE For the GROUND screw (green) (A), the side wiring method must be used.
- Strip wires to 1 /2″ (12. 7 mm).
- Loosen the screw.
- Twist the wire into a hook shape.
- Hook the wire onto the screw in the clockwise direction.
- Tighten the screw. Make sure the connection is secure by gently pulling the wire. Make sure no bare wire is shown below the wire connector.
Push-in terminal wiring
NOTICE Only use push-in terminals on 15 A branch circuits with 14 AWG
solid copper conductors. Do not use push-in terminals on 20 A branch circuit.
- Use the strip gauge (D) to measure the length of bare wire needed and strip it to length.
- Push the bare wire all the way into the respective push terminal.
Make sure the connection is secure by gently pulling the wire.
NOTICE To remove a wire, push a small flat screwdriver into the slot next to the push-in terminal then pull out the wire.
Single pole connection
Single pole connection is designed for scenarios where 1 lamp fixture is
controlled with 1 switch (Fig. 3).
For detailed wiring diagram, refer to the wiring instructions sheet provided.

Verify that the switch box has these wires:
If any of the wires are missing or have a different color, stop the installation and contact a professional electrician. -
Disconnect the wires from the existing switch.

Depending on the wiring method, trim the wires to length.

Connect the GROUND wire from the breaker box to the GROUND screw (green) (A).

Connect the 120 V HOT wire from the breaker box to the HOT screw/push-in terminal (black) (C).

Connect the LOAD wire from the lamp fixture to the LOAD 2 screw/push-in terminal (yellow) (E).

After the connections are completed, turn on the power at circuit breaker or fuse. Test if the switch works.
3-way connection
3-way connection is designed for scenarios where 1 lamp fixture is controlled
by 2 switches (Fig. 4).
For detailed wiring diagram, refer to the wiring instructions sheet provided.
- Verify that the switch boxes have these wires: If any of the wires are missing or have a different colors, stop the installation and contact a professional electrician.
- Disconnect the wires from the existing switch in the dimmer switch box.
- Depending on the wiring method, trim the wires to length.
- Connect the GROUND wire from the breaker box to the GROUND screws (green) (A) of switch 1 and 2.
- Connect the 120 V HOT wire from the breaker box to the HOT screw/push-in terminal (black) (C) of switch 2.
- Connect the LOAD (red) wire from the lamp fixture to the HOT screw/push-in terminal (black) (C) of switch 1.
- Using a LOAD (red) wire, connect the LOAD 1 screw/push-in terminal (yellow) (B) of switch 1 to the LOAD 2 screw/push-in terminal (yellow) (E) of switch 2.
- Using a LOAD (red) wire, connect the LOAD 1 screw/push-in terminal (yellow) (B) of switch 2 to the LOAD 2 screw/push-in terminal (yellow) (E) of switch 1.
- After the connections are completed, switch on the power at circuit breaker or fuse. Test if the switches work.
Install Wall Plate
NOTICE it the product was installed next to other switches, you will need to purchase a wall plate with the correct size/ number of openings to accommodate all the units.

Turn off the power at circuit breaker or fuse and test that power is off with a voltage detector.

Insert the main unit into the switch box being careful not to pinch any wires. Arrange the wires and tuck them in neatly.

With the “TOP” marking facing up, attach the main unit to the switch box with the 2 machine screws (F) (Fig. 5).

Install the wall plate (not provided) on the main unit (Fig. 6).
NOTICE installation method of the wall plate may differ depending on the type of wall plate be used. Refer to its installation instructions. -
After the installation, turn on the power at circuit breaker or fuse. Test if the switch works.
Cleaning and Maintenance
⚠ CAUTION High Voltage
Disconnect power supply before servicing.
Cleaning
- To clean the product, wipe with a soft, slightly damp cloth.
- Wipe the product dry after cleaning.
- Never use corrosive detergents, wire brushes, abrasive scorers, metal or sharp utensils to clean the product.
