NOTES OF USE
Listening at high volume for a long time may damage your hearing.
- This device is a high-precision electronic instrument, therefore avoid using it in the following cases:
- Near magnetic fields.
- Near heat sources such as heaters and stoves.
- In very humid places such as bathrooms, swimming pools, etc…
- In very dusty places.
- In places subject to strong vibrations.
- Do not bring your ear close to the loudspeaker during the setup and volume adjustment phases, and in particular, keep the volume to a minimum when switching it on.
- Position the appliance so that there is always enough space on its sides for free circulation of air (at least 5 cm).
- If liquids get inside the appliance, immediately disconnect the plug from the socket and take the appliance to the nearest authorized TREVI assistance centre.
- Before recharging the appliance, always check that the power and connection cables are installed correctly.
- No naked flame sources, such as lighted candles, should be placed on the apparatus.
- The apparatus shall not be exposed to dripping or splashing and no objects filled with liquids, such as vases, shall be placed on the apparatus.
- Keep this manual for future reference.
CARE AND MAINTENANCE
For cleaning we recommend the use of a soft, slightly damp cloth. Avoid solvents or abrasive substances.
IMPORTANT
This device is designed for non-professional home use. The good construction
of this appliance guarantees its perfect functioning for a long time. However,
if any inconvenience should arise, it will be advisable to consult the nearest
authorized TREVI Assistance Centre.
TREVI pursues a policy of continuous research and development. Therefore the
products may have different characteristics from those described.
Precautions for correct disposal of the product
The symbol shown on the equipment indicates that waste must be disposed of in
“separate collection” and so the pro-duct must not be disposed of together
with urban waste. The user must take the product to special “separate waste
collection centres” provided by local government, or deliver it to the
retailer against the purchase of a new product. Separate collection of waste
and subsequent treatment, recycling and disposal operations promotes the
production of equipment with recycled materials and limits negative effects on
the environment and on health caused by improper handling of waste.
Illegal disposal of the product leads to the enforcement of administrative
penalties.

To avoid possible hearing damage, limit the time listening at high volumes
AC/DC POWER SUPPLY
The device can also be operated using a USB 5V ⎓ 1A power supply ( not supplied ). Connect one end of the supplied cable to the USB power supply and the other end to the 5V ⎓ 1A power input (13).
BATTERIES POWER SUPPLY
Open the battery compartment (17) and insert 4 batteries size “AA”, paying attention to the polarities indicated.
SWITCHING ON/OFF – STANDBY

Extend the telescopic antenna (15);
-
Press and hold the button (7) for 2 sec. to turn on the device;

When first switched on, the radio will start up in DAB mode and start the automatic search for available radio stations;
-
Press the button (7) to put the device in Stand-by mode and continue to view the time on the display.
Note: If the unit is running on batteries, in Standby mode you will still consume enough batteries to reduce battery charge faster. -
Press and hold for 2 sec. the button (7) to completely Turn Off the appliance.
FUNCTION SELECTION AND VOLUME ADJUSTMENT
- Press the MODE button (2) to switch between the DAB/ DAB+, FM and Bluetooth input;
- Turn the VOLUME knob (14) to decrease or increase the volume.
MENU SETTINGS
- Press and hold the INFO/MENU button (4) for a few seconds, the settings menu will appear on the display;
- Press the A (8) or v (6) buttons to select the desired item;
- Press SELECT/>II/SCAN button (5) to enter the settings of the selected item.
The following items are available in the settings menu (some are displayed depending on whether DAB or FM mode is selected):
Scan (DAB): selecting this item automatically scans and stores received
radio stations.
Scan Setting (FM): allows you to search on FM stations with a strong
signal or on all stations found.
Manual tune (DAB): select the desired frequency/ channel and confirm with
SELECT/>II/SCAN (5). A bar will show the strength of the received signal.
Prune Invalid (DAB): allows you to delete from the list of stored
stations all the radios found but not available (poor signal).
System: this item allows access to further settings.
Time/Date: allows you to set the current time/date.
Set Time/Date: set the current time and date.
Set Hour System: set the 12/24H time format.
Set Date Format: set the date format.
Auto Update: select from which source you automatically set the time and
date if available.
Backlight: allows you to set the time and brightness level of the display:
Timeout: set the time after which the display lowers the brightness
without commands.
Level: indicates the brightness level of the display when the appliance
is inactive.
Alarms: allows you to activate and set two alarms. After selecting Alarms, select Alarm 7 or 2 and confirming you enter a submenu in which to set:
Set the hour and minutes.
Set the ringtone type between Buzzer, FM and DAB.
Set the alarm cycle to Once (once), Daily (daily),
Weekends (Saturday and Sunday),
Workday (Monday to Friday).
Set the playback volume of the alarm alarm. A bar appears.
Set the duration in minutes of the alarm.
Sleep: allows you to set an auto-off timer after which the appliance will
go into standby mode automatically. It is possible to select between 15, 30,
45, 60, 75 and 90 minutes.
EQ: Select sound equalization.
Language: allows you to select the system language.
Factory reset: allows you to restore all the settings to the factory
settings. Select Yes for restore.
Software version: software version installed.
DAB/DAB+ RADIO
- Select the DAB (Digital radio) mode; the first time the radio is switched on, it will start up in DAB mode. It will automatically scan for the available radio stations;
- Press the A (8) or v (6) button to display and scroll through the list of received radio stations. Press the SELECT/>II/ SCAN button (5) to select the desired station;
- Long press the PRESET button (3) to access the storage menu (Preset Store) of the radio station being played in one of the 40 available memories. Use the A (8) or v (6) buttons to select the location number and the SELECT/>II/SCAN button (5) to confirm;
- By pressing the PRESET button (3) it is possible to view the list of stored radio stations (Preset Recall). Use the A (8) or v (6) buttons to move and the SELECT/>II/SCAN button (5) to select the desired station.
DAB/DAB+ TRANSMISSION INFORMATION
In DAB mode, the display will show a series of information about the station and the track being played.
– Press the INFO/MENU button (4) repeatedly to change the information
displayed.
Note: not all DAB stations provide the information displayed by the
device.
If available, the following displayed information’s:
DLS: displays information relating to the transmitted music (artist, song
title, etc.).
Program type: displays information relating to the type of program
transmitted.
Transmitter name: displays information relating to the service
transmitter.
Transmitter Number/Frequency: displays information on the number and
frequency of the transmitted DAB/DAB + station.
Signal error index: displays information relating to the level of signal
errors and the intensity with which it is received.
Bit Rate: displays information relating to the compression ratio of the
current transmission.
Time and Date: displays time and date information.
FM RADIO
- Select the FM mode;
- Hold down the SELECT/>II/SCAN button (5) for a few seconds to start an automatic scan and storage;
- Press the A (8) or v (6) button to manually search for a radio station. Pressing the keys once makes a shift of 0.05 MHz, pressing them for a long time searches for the first strong signal encountered;
- By pressing PRESET button (3) you can access the list of stored FM radio stations (Preset Recall). Use the A (8) or v (6) buttons to select the desired radio station to listen, and press the SELECT/>II/SCAN button (5) to confirm;
- To save a station, go to the station, hold down the PRESET button (3) for a few seconds, you will access the storage menu (Preset Store). Use the A (8) or v (6) buttons to select the location number, and press the SELECT/>II/SCAN button (5) to confirm;
- Repeatedly pressing the INFO/MENU button (4) will di-splay information regarding the tuned radio (if available).
ALARM
There are 2 wake up alarms. To set and activate them, refer to the “MENU SETTINGS” paragraph under “System” and “Alarm”. To postpone the alarm, press the SELECT/>II/SCAN button (5). To turn off the wake-up alarm permanently, press the button (7).
Note: the alarm clock is only available if the unit is switched off in Stand-by mode.
BLUETOOTH FUNCTION
- Select the BT mode;
- From the external device search for the device named “RA 7F80R”, perform the pairing and enter the PIN “0000” if required;
- After successful pairing, device will issue a notification;
- Start playback from the external device; use the A (8) o v (6) keys to select the next/previous track.
HEADPHONE JACK
- Insert the headphones into the headphone jack (12).
- Turn on the radio and adjust the volume.
