An Idea of How Big Area This Light Will Project on Your Floor

1. The higher the mounting height is, the larger the irradiation area will cover.
2. The lower the mounting height is, the better the light efficiency/brightness will be.
3. The 4″ light is recommended to be installed on a ceiling at the height between 7ft and 10ft.
4. The 6″ light is recommended to be installed on a ceiling at a height between 7ft and 15ft.

An Idea of How Big Distance These Lights Should Be Installed to Each Other
This is a reference but the exact gap or number of lights should be decided according to your real on site situation.

Installation Spacing Reference ( Installation Height=9ft )

1. 200Lux is for entertainment lighting, 350Lux is for guest room and kitchen lighting, and 550Lux is for office or commercial lighting.
2. When the installation height of the floor increases or decreases by 1.5ft, the lighting brightness fluctuation rate is 15%.

Installation Instruction

Please carefully read all warnings and instructions on the packaging box, user manual, and product label before any operation.

• Installation and maintenance work cam only be carried out by a qualified electrician by local safety regulations.
• Ensure the power is OFF before all operations!
• Make sure that the supply voltage is correct with the lights(120V) before installation.
• Double-check all connections to be sure they are tight and correct.
• Keep combustibles and other materials that may burn away from lights.
• Do not operate lights at ambient temperatures higher than 104°F.

PRECAUTION:

• RISK OF INJURY
  The knockouts may be sharp. Wear gloves and safety glasses at all time when removing luminaire, installing or performing maintenance. Avoid direct eye exposure to the light source while it is on. Wear rubber-soled shoes and work on a sturdy wooden ladder.

• RISK OF BURN
  Do not touch enclosure or light source. It is normal that the luminaire surface is heating up in work. Allow lights to be cooled down before handling.

• RISK OF PRODUCT DAMAGE

1. Do not restrict fixture ventilation. Allow for some volume of airspace around fixture. Avoid covering LED fixtures with insulation, foam, or other material that will prevent convection or conduction cooling.
2. Electrostatic Discharge (ESD): ESD can damage LED fixtures. Personal grounding equipment must be worn during all installation or servicing the unit.
3. Do not touch individual electrical components as this can cause ESD, shorten lamp life, or alter performance.
4. Do not mix junction box of different power rating (e.g 4″and 6″) products, it will lead to the destruction of the product.
5. Do not let the product directly contact with water. The product is damp-rated but it is not water-proof.
6. Do not make or alter any open holes in an enclosure of wiring or electrical components.
7. Never connect components under load.
8. Please make sure that all wires in and out are wired firmly and sufficiently. If not, there will be a flickering issue or the light will just stop.

STEP-BY-STEP INSTALLATION
TOOLS REQUIRED: Saw, Measuring Tape, Pen, tool pliers, hole saw, Electrical Wiring (The wire should be AWG 14-18 for application to connect the fixture), grounding equipment, safety glasses, gloves and sturdy ladder.

1. Holing: Make a correct size hole on the ceiling (4′ for 4′ light and 6′ for 6′ light) with template or without.
2. Opening: Open the junction box cover as designated, and remove the hole-baffles by sharp nose pliers on the correspondent junction box’s side where wiring will lead in/out.
3. Cabling: Insert the wiring plug into the side holes and pass the electric cables.
4. Wiring: Connect the “L”, “N” and Grounding to the “L”, “N” and “G” in the leaded-in cable by wire connectors, and close the junction box cover.
5. Connecting: Plug the male head into the female head and use hand to screw tight.
6. Pushing: Put the junction box into the ceiling hole and push up the spring clips one after another to make it perfectly recessed into the hole.
7. Checking: Turn ON the ceiling light, check your great work and enjoy your lighting.
