Initial Setup
Before using the ST series pen meter for the first time, follow these steps:
- Open the battery compartment located at the top of the pen meter.
- Insert four 1.5V batteries into the compartment, following the polarity markings.
- Close the battery compartment securely.
- Remove the protective cap from the electrode.
- The pen meter is now ready for use.
Measurement Procedure
To measure pH, ORP, conductivity, TDS, or salinity, follow these steps:
- Turn on the pen meter by pressing the power button located on the front panel.
- Dip the electrode into the sample solution up to the immersion level mark.
- Wait for a stable reading to appear on the display.
- Record the measurement if necessary.
- Rinse the electrode with clean water and replace the protective cap after use.
- Turn off the pen meter by pressing and holding the power button for a few seconds.
Calibration
Calibrating the pen meter ensures accurate measurements. Follow these steps to calibrate:
- Prepare calibration solutions according to the desired range and type of measurement.
- Turn on the pen meter and dip the electrode into the calibration solution.
- Press the calibration button and select the appropriate calibration mode (pH, ORP, conductivity, TDS, or salinity).
- Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the calibration process.
- Rinse the electrode with clean water and replace the protective cap after calibration.

First Usage
- Condition the electrode by rising and immersing it in pure water for 0.5 hours before use.
Conductivity/TDS/Salinity Measurement
- Remove the protection cap, rinse the Conductivity electrode with pure water (distilled water), and wipe clean.
- Press button-On/Off turn on the meter.
- Dip the electrode about 2 to 3cm into the test solution (at least 20 ml). Wait until the reading stabilizes.
- Clean the electrode with pure water after each measurement.
Accuracy
- ST10C/ST10T/ST10S pen meters are factory calibrated.
Maintenance
- Clean the electrode before and after each measurement.
- The meter uses a button battery 1.5V (AA)*4, which replaces all the batteries when the display fades or does not turn on.
- The electrode is replaceable.
