The Retractable Gate is a safety gate designed to prevent children from accessing certain areas of your home. It can be installed at the bottom or top of stairs, doorways, or openings. The gate is retractable, allowing for easy access and storage when not in use.

Installation Locations
The Retractable Gate can be installed in different locations

Bottom of stairs: Install on the lowest stair to prevent children from climbing upstairs.
Top of stairs: Install 6 inches back from the top step to prevent children from falling down the stairs.
Doorways & Openings: Can be installed to restrict access to specific areas of your home.

Product Usage Instructions

Hardware Installation

Use a tape measure to determine the opening width.
Paste the template on the wall, ensuring the bottom of the template is close to the ground and perpendicular to the ground.
Install the lower shaft with end “a” facing the ground and end “b” facing up.
Install the upper shaft.
Tighten the Q1 screw, ensuring the door frame is closed.
Tighten the Q2 screw, keeping the door frame open.
Unscrew the E-latch.
Extend the door rail to the wall and determine the sticking position of D and E.
Tear off the sticker.
Paste D and E to the wall.
Adjust the width of the door frame again, ensuring the distance between the handle and the upper latch is less than 0.078 inches, then lock the E-latch.
Open the door frame and install the upper latch and lower latches.

- No, it is important to mount the gate hardware into a stud in the wall for proper stability and security.
How do I adjust the width of the door frame?
- To adjust the width, follow step 11 in the installation instructions. Ensure the distance between the handle and the upper latch is less than 0.078 inches before locking the E-latch.
Can I use the gate at the top of the stairs?
- Yes, the gate can be installed at the top of stairs. However, it should be placed at least 6 inches back from the leading edge of the top stairs to prevent accidents.
How do I uninstall the gate?
- To uninstall the gate, remove the upper latch and lower latches, unscrew the Q1 and Q2 screws, and remove the gate frame from the wall. Fill any holes left by the hardware installation if necessary.

WARNING

Mounting hardware must be mounted into a stud in the wall.
If the door must be installed at the top of the stairs, the door should be at least 6 inches from the leading edge of the top stairs.

Installation Location

Bottom of stairs
lf the gate is used at the bottom of the stairs, it must be placed on the lowest stair to prevent children from climbing upstairs.
Top of stairs
lf the gate is used at the top of the stairs, it must be placed 15 cm (6 in) back from the top step to prevent children from falling down the stairs.

NOTE: The maximum spacing from the floor to bottom of gate is 2.5″, the minimum spacing is 1″

Hardware Installation

1. Paste template
  NOTE : The bottom of the template must be close to the ground and kept perpendicular to the ground
Install the lower shaft
NOTE : When installing the lower shaft, please keep the b end facing up and the a end facing the ground
Install the upper shaft
Tighten the Q1 screw
NOTE : Keep the door frame closed when tightening the Q1 screw
Tighten the Q2 screw
NOTE : Keep the door frame open while tightening the Q2 screw

Extend the door rail to the wall and determine the sticking position of D and E $Babelio-26-43-Retractable-Gate- $15$$

Adjust the width of the door frame again, so that the distance between the handle and the upper latch is less than 0.078in, and then lock the E- latch $Babelio-26-43-Retractable-Gate- $16$$
Open the door frame, install the upper latch and lower latches $Babelio-26-43-Retractable-Gate- $17$$

Children have died or been seriously injured when gates are not securely installed.

ALWAYS install and use gate as directed using all required parts.
Install according to manufacturer’s instructions.
