Warning

  1. Before the first use, unpack the appliance carefully and check if there are any parts damaged or missing.
  2. This appliance is for household use only and it cannot be intended for use in moving vehicles.
  3. It is important to carefully remove all packing materials in the slots and under the lever, but do not remove the warning or model labels on the appliance.
  4. Ensure that the rated voltage of your mains power supply corresponds to the voltage requirements of the appliance (AC 120V, 60Hz).
  5. Do not leave the appliance unattended, when connected to the power supply. Immediately unplug the appliance, if there is any kind of malfunction or problem (i.e.overheating or smoke coming from the slots).
  6. Always disconnect the appliance from the power supply, when the appliance is not in use and before cleaning or moving.
  7. It is recommended to keep the appliance in an appropriate distance of at least 20cm on each side to furniture, walls, boards, curtains and other objects. Do not operate the appliance near inflammable liquids(alcohol) or beneath any heat-sensitive or moisture-sensitive materials or beneath boards or drop-lights.
  8. Do not immerse or place the toaster or power cord in any liquids or drip any liquids on the toaster to avoid risk of electric shock and damage.
  9. Do not place the appliance or any part of it on or near hot surfaces such as heater, gas burner, grill, oven, etc.
  10. Do not insert wrapped foods (i.e. kitchen foil) into the slots to avoid risk of fire, electric shock and damage to the product.
  11. Do not use the toaster for toasting very dry cakes and pastries (ie.cookies) or sandwiches.
  12. Do not insert any foreign objects into the slots, and always ensure that there are no foreign objects in the slots before use.
  13. Do not insert the crumb tray, when it is still wet or damp. Ensure, that the crumb tray is in place before operating the toaster. Otherwise crumbs may become charred on the bottom of the toaster and stick to the surfaces.
  14. Do not place any cloth or tissue beneath or on the appliance, to avoid any risk of fire, electric shock and overheating.
  15. If the power cord warms up during operation or is likely to be damaged, it must be replaced by an authorized service center. Do not attempt to repair the power cord!
  16. Never insert your fingers in the slots when the toaster is connected to the power supply, and always keep your body, clothing and other heat-sensitive objects away from the slots during operation.
  17. Keep the product out of reach of children.

Operating Introduction

Notes

  1. The lever will not stay in the toasting position unless the toaster is connected to the power supply.
  2. It is normal for smoke to appear on the first heating. To prevent smell and taste of your food from being affected, heat the appliance on toasting level 6 without any cakes and pastries in the slots. If the burnt smell occurs again during later use, clean the toaster. If the burnt smell persists stubbornly even after thoroughly cleaning the appliance, return the appliance to an authorized service center for examination and repair.
  3. The higher the gear you choose, the longer the heating time will be.
  4. The maximum toasting gear set when using the warmer to toast croissant is 3-4!
  5. Only toast slices of simple cakes and pastries without any filling or glaze (i.e. jam, mayonnaise, or icing) and of suitable size (12cm x 12cm, 0.5 to 2.4cm thick).
  6. If the bread crumbles or bends in the slots, immediately cancel the toasting process by pressing the CANCEL button and unplug the toaster. Wait for the toaster to cool down, and then carefully remove jammed bread slices.

How to use

  1. Use a sharp knife to cut the bread or similar cakes and pastries in slices of even thickness and appropriate size and remove the crumbs.
  2. Insert a slice of bread in each slot of the toaster.
  3. Rotate the gear knob to select the desired gear: 1 to 6. For the first use, it is recommended to select the gear according to the bread toasting color card.
  4. Carefully pull down the lever unil it stays at the bottom. The CANCEL indicator lights up.
  5. After the heating process is completed, the lever will be ejected automatically. Carefully get out the toast slices.

The DEFROST function

The DEFROST function extend the toasting time for toasting frozen bread.

  1. Insert the frozen bread slices in the slots and select the desired toasting gear.
  2. Carefully pull down the lever until it stays at the bottom
  3. Press the DEFROST button and the DEFROST function indicator light up. The device firstly defrosts the toast slices for 30 seconds. After the defrosting process is completed, the device automatically performs the normal operation of the set gears.

The BAGEL toasting function This is a one-sided toasting function, mainly used to heat the bagels. When this function is selected, the entire heating process performs one-sided heating

  1. Insert the bagel slices in the slots.
  2. Carefully pull down the lever until it stays at the bottom
  3. Press the BAGEL button and the BAGEL function indicator lights up.

Tips for the best result:

  1. You may cancel the toasting process at any time by pressing the CANCEL button.
  2. The required toasting gear depends on your preference and the type and freshness of the toasted cakes and pastries. For example, a short toasting time (low toasting gear) is sufficient for toasting raisin pastry and fine white bread, but for toasting rye bread you must select a higher toasting gear to get a similar result.
  3. Ensure to make an even and smooth cut. Use a sharp bread knife for cutting. Remove crumbs and protruding rims, especially when crisping up halved rolls.

Cleaning & Maintenance

  1. Switch off the toaster, press the CANCEL button, unplug the power connector and allow the toaster to cool down.
  2. Pull out the crumb tray and empty it. Rinse the crumb tray, dry it with a cloth and leave it dry for some minutes.
  3. Grasp the toaster on both sides, hold it over a sink or large bowl and invert it. Carefully shake the crumbs out of the toaster.
  4. Wipe the exterior of the toaster with a damp soft cloth. If necessary, clean the power cord in the same way. Then thoroughly dry the toaster and power cord with a dry soft cloth.
  5. Insert the crumb tray into the bottom of the toaster.
  6. Wind the power cord around the cord storage in the bottom of the appliance, and place the item on a clean and dry surface.

Notes

  1. Always press the CANCEL button to switch off the toaster, unplug the power cord and allow the toaster to cool down, before removing the crumb tray or cleaning or moving the toaster.
  2. Do not use abrasive cleaners, cleaning pads or any hard and sharp objects (i.e. metal scouring pads) for cleaning.
  3. Do not place the appliance or any part of it in an automatic dishwasher. Do not spill or drip water or any other liquids in the toaster.
  4. It is recommended to empty the crumb tray after each use to avoid crumbs becoming charred and sticking on the crumb tray.

Correct Disposal of the Product

Disposal of the appliance and packaging must be effected in accordance with the corresponding local regulations and requirements for electrical appliances and packaging. Please contact your local disposal company. Do not dispose of electrical appliances as unsorted municipal waste, please use separate collection facilities. Contact your local government information regarding the collection systems available. When replacing old appliances with a new once, the retailer is legally obligated to take back your old appliance for disposal at least for free of charge.
