Product Usage Instructions

Step 1: Download the BRmesh App

Search for BRmesh on Google Play or the APP Store and download the app to your mobile phone.

Step 2: Add the Lamp(s) to BRmesh

1. Turn on Bluetooth on your phone.
2. Start the BRmesh app.
3. Follow the instructions provided in the app to add the lamp(s) to BRmesh.

Note: Unlike other brands, BRmesh uses a simpler pairing process. For more details, refer to the user manual or BRmesh setup video.

Step 3: Control the Lamp(s)

Once the lamp(s) are successfully added to BRmesh, you can control them using the app.

Product Features

The BRmesh is a Bluetooth-connected, APP-controlled LED lamp. It does not require a network or registration. It is suitable for daily lighting, mood lighting, and decorative lighting.

Characteristics of RF

RF signals can travel through fabrics and glass, but walls and metal can shorten the distance of signal transmission. The connection distance between the phone and the lamp may vary depending on the Bluetooth chip in the phone.

Precautions

• Always cut off the power before installing or removing the lamp from the mains.
• The lamp is not compatible with external dimmers, as it may cause flashing, timing inaccuracy, or mode-shifting instability.
• Do not use the lamp underwater.

Location Information

• For Android users, enabling location information is required for Bluetooth scanning.
• The location information is only used for adding devices, grouping modification on the host phone, and viewing and setting timing.
• Disabling location information will not affect other functions.
• iOS users do not require access to location information.

Unique Circumstances

In certain situations, the phone must be in close proximity to the lamp:

1. Add device: The recommended distance between the phone and the lamp is within 25ft without any large obstacles in between.
2. Grouping modification on the Main Phone: The recommended distance between the phone and the lamp is 40ft without any large obstacles in between.
3. Set timing: The recommended distance between the phone and the lamp is 40 feet without any large obstacles in between. The effective distance may vary depending on the phone.

Add Device

When using the BRmesh app for the first time, you need to add the lamp to the app:

1. Open the BRmesh app.
2. Tick the “I have understood” box on the Add Guidelines page.
3. Click on the “Enter to add” button to proceed to the Add Device page.
4. Turn the light(s) off and back on to discover the device(s).

LOCATION INFORMATION

• To enable Bluetooth scanning on your phone, the Android system requires access to the location information to be turned on in order to perform the Bluetooth scanning function.
• The Android APP requires Bluetooth scanning to perform the following three actions only:

1. Add device
2. Grouping modification on the Host Phone
3. View and set timing
4. If you do not need to use the above functions, disabling the location information will not affect the use of other functions.

The IOS system does not require access to the location information.

UNIQUE CIRCUMSTANCES

The phone must be in close proximity to the lamp for the following actions:

1. Add device
   • The distance between the phone and the lamp is recommended to be within 25 feet and without any large obstacles in between.
2. Grouping modification on the Main Phone The distance between the phone and the lamp is recommended to be within 40ft and without any large obstacles in between.
3. Set timing
   • The distance between the phone and the lamp is recommended to be within 40 feet and without any large obstacles in between.
   • The effective distance may vary depending on the phone.

ADD DEVICE

• When downloading the APP, please make sure that the icon and name of the APP are consistent with the instructions.
  When using it for the first time, this lamp needs to be added to the APP.

• Open the “BRmesh” App

Note:
Tick the “I have understood” box and click on the “Enter to add” button on the Add guidelines page to proceed to the Add device page, then turn the light(s) off and back on to discover the device(s).

TIMING

Manage Timing Settings:

• This function can only be set one lamp at a time. The setting is not available when multiple lamps are selected. For multiple lamps, please set the timing one by one.
• Sub-phones are not supported.

Cancelling Timing:

1. Cut off the power.
2. Please refer to the setting of the APP.

SHARING DEVICE(S) WITH OTHER PHONES

• The “Main” APP is able to share the device(s) with other mobile phones in the form of a QR code through its built-in sharing function.

Main APP

• The “Main” APP refers to the one on which device(s) were added through the “Add Device” page

Sub APP

• A “Sub” APP refers to the one on which device(s) were added by scanning the QR code shared by the “Main” APP using the scanning function on this APP.

FUNCTION TABLE

How to restore the “Add Device” function of the Sub APP?

• Answer: Delete/Remove all devices on this APP.

CONTROL ABNORMALITY SOLUTION

1. Exit the APP.
2. Turn off the phone’s Bluetooth.
3. Turn on Bluetooth after 1 minute.
4. Restart the APP

ABOUT MESH

• Connecting to any one lamp via the phone’s Bluetooth (the APP automatically recognizes) allows you full control of all the lamps.
• The effective control distance to the Host Lamp may vary

WORKS WITH ALEXA

For remote or distant control, please operate it on the Alexa APP. If the BRmesh APP is no longer needed nor desired, it can be deleted after the pairing with the lights is complete with Alexa without affecting the use of the lights.

ADD DEVICE

1. Activate the Alexa network status of the device through the “BRmesh” APP.
   • Steps: (as illustrated in the diagrams)
2. Say “Alexa/Echo, find devices” to the speaker.

Notice:

1. No more than 4 devices at a time, because the speaker network configuration time cannot exceed 45 seconds each time.
2. The rate of establishing a successful network connection is approximately 70%, if fails, please repeat the process from the beginning.

TROUBLESHOOTING WITH ALEXA

For any issues found when using Alexa, one of the following solutions can solve 99% of the problem.

1. Individual lights not responding to Alexa commands
   • Solution: Power these lights off and on again
2. Individual lights did not respond to Alexa commands and the total number of devices paired to Alexa does not exceed 15.
   • Solution: Power off the speaker and on again.
3. Multiple lights do not respond to Alexa commands
   • Note: when there are more than 15 devices paired with Alexa, if the speaker is powered off and on, there is a high probability that multiple lights will become uncontrollable.
   • Solution: Power off all lights and the speaker first, and then power on the lights again 3 minutes after the speaker is powered back on.
4. None of the above solutions work.
   • Solution: Delete the lights that are not controllable by Alexa.
   • APP and re-add the devices.
5. The Alexa speaker was unable to add any devices.
   • Reason: Alexa cache is full
   • Solution: Deregister the Alexa speaker on the Alexa APP, once the speaker is reset, re-add all devices thereafter.

COMMANDS

xx” indicates the name of the light or group in the Alexa App

1. Turn on xx
2. Turn off xx
3. Set xx to red (or other colors)
4. Set xx to 1% (or other brightness levels)

TROUBLESHOOTING

Please refer to the “More” page on the “BRmesh” APP.

TIPS

• Walls, metals, etc. will severely shorten the distance of signal transmission.
• It is recommended that the distance between one lamp and the next is less than 25ft without obstructing objects in the way, subject to actual use.
• If a lamp is found to not responding to any commands, it may be that the distance between the lamp and its nearest one is greater than 25.
• There is no need to connect to any networks when using this APP, so the status displayed may not be completely accurate and on time.
