ZCM-300 Smart Build in Dimmer

Dimming mode
LED flashes 1x red: Leading Edge
LED flashes 2x red: Trailing Edge
LED flashes 3x red: Filament LED mode

  1. Turn OFF mains power
    Always turn OFF the power (in the fuse box) before installing or removing this product. The ZCM-300 can be used for two wall switches connected to one lamp (stairwell/hotel circuit) or for a single wall switch connected to one lamp.

  2. Loosen ceiling lights
    Remove the existing lighting from the ceiling and leave the wires connected to the lighting. The lighting must not exceed the maximum wattage. If no live wire (brown) is present, it must be pulled. If in doubt, consult an electrician.

  3. Disconnect the switch wire (black) and neutral wire (blue)
    To install the ZCM-300, disconnect the switch wire (black) and neutral wire (blue) from the lamp. (Disconnect terminal block or cut wires if necessary) If in doubt about wire colors, consult an electrician.

  4. Connect the live wire to a terminal block
    Connect the live wire (brown) from the ceiling box to a terminal block. Also connect the other end of the live wire (brown) to same terminal block.

  5. Connect the wires to the module
    Connect the neutral wire (blue) from the ceiling box to the outer [N] contact of the module. Optional: The S-contact does not need to be connected. Connect the switch wire (black) from the ceiling box with the [S] terminal if you want to (continue to) make use of a wall switch. Connect the neutral wire (blue) of the lamp with the center [N] contact.
    Connect the switch wire (black) of the lamp to the [ ] contact. Connect one new live wire (brown) from the terminal block to the [L] terminal. Tighten the terminal screws securely.

  7. Download App
    Download and install the Trust Smart Home Switch-in App from the Google Playstore or App Store to connect the dimmer to an Smart Bridge or ICS-2000.

  8. Switch on the mains voltage
    Turn on the power before proceeding with the installation.
    Do not touch any stripped parts of the wires after this step. The LED indicator on the module will flash for 60s when power is on to indicate it is in connect mode

  9. Connect Module
    A Select a room in the App.
    Press the + button and choose Trust Smart Home. Press
    Premium Line and choose built-in dimmer. Then follow the steps in the App.

  10. Optional: Also connect with ZigBee remote control
    Go to www.trust.com/faq for more information on how the dimmer can be connected with a ZigBee remote control.

  11. Dimming Mode
    If your lighting flickers, you can choose a different dimming mode:
    A Turn off the module with the App or remote control.
    Press and hold the mode button for 5 seconds until the LED flashes red and then release.
    The LED flashes red 1x for the Leading edge mode:
    This mode is most suitable for dimmable incandescent, halogen, lamps with a traditional (wound) dimmable transformer and some specific LED lamps
    Press 5 seconds again to go to the next dimming mode
    For the Trailing edge mode, the LED flashes red 2x: This mode is most suitable for LED lamps and lamps with an electronic dimmable transformer.
    Press 5 seconds again to go to the next dimming mode
    For the Filament LED lamp mode, the LED flashes 3x red:
    This mode is intended for dimming Filament LED lamps
    Activate dimming sequence with 230V wall switch
    To activate the dimming sequence with a 230V wall switch, first switch the module ON with the wall switch.
    Then quickly turn the wall switch OFF and ON again. To lock the dimming level, quickly turn the wall switch OFF and ON again.

  12. Adjust dimming range
    If the connected lighting flickers in then lowest dim level or does not dim deep enough, you can adjust the lower limit of the dimming range.
    A Turn on the lamp and set it to 100% brightness.
    B Press and hold the join button for 3 sec. The lamp will go to the lowest brightness. Then release the join button.
    C Short press the join button to decrease the minimum brightness.
    The minimum brightness starts at position 4. Every time the join button is pressed shortly, the lamp will dim 1 position deeper (4-3-2-1). If you shortly press the join button again after setting 1, the minimum dim setting will increase again (1-2-3-4).
    D Press and hold the join button again for 3 seconds when the correct dim position has been selected. The lamp will flash 2x to confirm the selected dimming position. As soon as the lamp starts flashing, the button can be released.’

  13. Install module
    First check whether the lighting dims properly.
    Place the dimmer in the ceiling box. Reinstall the lamp.
    Make sure that you can always reach the built-in dimmer, for example to reset it or to reconnect it.
    Activate connection mode
    If the ZCM-300 is not connected to an Smart Bridge or ICS2000, you can enter the connection mode by pressing the join button shortly on the module. The LED will flash slowly for 60s to indicate it is in connect mode
    Reset ZCM-300
    Warning: This step removes the module from the Smart Bridge or ICS-2000 or the ZYCT-202. To reset the dimmer, press the join button for 6 seconds. The LED will flash quickly. Shortly press the button again. The connected lamp will go ON-OFF-ON-OFF to confirm the reset and then enter connect mode.

Disposal of the device – The adjacent symbol of a crossed-out wheelie bin means that this device is subject to Directive 2012/19/EU. his directive states that this device may not be disposed of in normal household waste at the end of its usable life, but must be handed over to specially set-up collection locations, recycling depots or disposal companies. This disposal is free of charge for the user.
Disposal of batteries – Used batteries may not be disposed of in household waste. Only dispose of batteries when they are fully discharged. Dispose of batteries according to local regulations. Cover the poles of partially discharged batteries with tape to prevent short circuits.
