Voltage Selection and Grounding

STOP! – Read these electrical voltage selection and grounding instructions before connecting any of the
Dannmar or Ranger equipment listed here into your facilities’ electrical service.

The purpose of this Technical Service Bulletin is to describe the input voltage selection and electrical grounding requirements on the Dannmar and Ranger Wheel Service equipment models DT-50, DT-50A, DB-70, MB 240X and DST30P.

The Wheel Service equipment models described above will operate on either 110VAC or 220VAC. The Dannmar units are shipped from the factory configured for 110VAC.

DANGER

All electrical work (including changing a Plug from 110 VAC to 220 VAC) must be accomplished by a licensed Electrician in accordance with national and local electrical codes. If you do not use a licensed Electrician, you void your warranty and put everyone who uses the equipment in danger of injury or, in rare cases, death.

To use Dannmar equipment at 110 VAC

  1. Verify the switch on the cabinet of the equipment is set to 110V. Incorrect setting will result in serious damage to the motor and/or electronics, and void your warranty.
    Dannmar equipment
    **DANGER** Establish and maintain proper earth ground. Voltage or ground hazard sufficient to cause shock, burn or death.

  2. Plug the Power Cord into a grounded 110VAC outlet.

  3. The unit is ready to operate at 110 VAC

To use the Ranger DST30P equipment at 110VAC

  1. Verify the switch at the back of the equipment is set to 110V. Incorrect setting will result in serious damage to the motor and or electronics, and void your warranty.

    DANGER
    Establish and maintain proper earth ground. Voltage or ground hazard sufficient to cause shock, burn or death.

  2. Have a licensed Electrician connect a 110VAC NEMA 20 amp plug to the power cord or wire directly into the facility electrical service.

  3. Plug the power cord into a grounded 110VAC outlet. If the unit is connected directly into the facility power then no further action is required. The unit is ready to operate.

To use Dannmar equipment at 220 VAC

  1. Verify the switch at the back of the equipment is set to 220V. Incorrect setting will result in serious damage to the motor and/or electronics, and void your warranty.
  2. Dannmar equipment
  3. Cut the 110V Plug off the power cord.
  4. Have a licensed Electrician connect a 220VAC NEMA 20 amp plug to the power cord or wire directly into the facilities’ electrical service.
  5. Plug the power cord into a grounded 220VAC outlet. If the unit is connected directly into the facility power, then no further action is required. The unit is ready to operate.

To use the Ranger DST30P equipment at 220VAC

  2. Have a licensed Electrician connect a 220VAC NEMA 20 amp plug to the power cord or wire directly into the facilities’ electrical service.
  3. Plug the power cord into a grounded 220VAC outlet. If the unit is connected directly into the facility power then no further action is required. The unit is ready to operate.

WARNING

Do not operate the equipment if there are maintenance issues; instead, take the unit out of
