Important safety instructions

• For household use only. When using an electric product, always follow basic precautions, including the following. Read all instructions before using The Beard Hedger™ trimmer. Save these instructions for future reference.

WARNING

• To reduce the risk of burns, fire, electric shock, or injury:
• Use this product only for its intended household use as described in this manual.
• This trimmer is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the trimmer by a person responsible for their safety. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
• This trimmer is intended to cut hair and can cut skin if not used carefully. Do not use attachments not specified by the manufacturer.
• This trimmer is for personal use only. Do not use it on animals or share it with others.
• Always attach the USB-C cord to the trimmer first, then to the outlet.
• Never use the trimmer if it has a damaged power cord or damaged power adapter, if it is not working properly, if it has been damaged, or if the charging cord has been dropped into water.
• Contact MANSCAPED™ customer service to determine if the product is under warranty.
• Keep the charging cord away from heated surfaces. Do not place anything heavy on or pinch the power cord.
• To prevent possible damage to the power cord, do not wrap it around the product.
• This product is for use on human hair only. Do not use the product for any other purpose.
• Always store the product, attachments, and power cord in a moisture-free area. Make sure the cord is disconnected from the product.
• Only use original accessories or consumables. Only use a detachable cord.
• Charge, use, and store the product at a temperature between 41 °F / 5 °C and 95 °F / 35 °C.
• Keep trimmers and batteries away from fire and do not expose them to direct sunlight or high temperatures.
• If the trimmer becomes abnormally hot or smelly, changes color, or if charging takes longer than usual, stop using and charging the product and contact us.
• Do not place trimmers or their batteries in microwave ovens or on induction cookers.
• Do not open, modify, pierce, damage, or dismantle the trimmer or battery to prevent batteries from heating up or releasing toxic or hazardous substances. Do not short-circuit, overcharge, or reverse-charge batteries.
• If batteries are damaged or leaking, avoid contact with the skin or eyes. If this occurs, immediately rinse well with water, and seek medical care.
• Keep the air openings free of lint, hair, and similar objects.
• Never drop or insert any object into any opening.
• Do not operate or plug in a trimmer where aerosol (spray) products are being used or where oxygen is being administered.
• Always check the blade and trimming guard before using the trimmer. Do not use the trimmer if the blade or guard is damaged, as injury may occur.
• Always store the trimmer, accessories, and power cord in a moisture-free area. Make sure the cord is disconnected from the trimmer.
• To recharge the battery, only use the detachable supply unit provided with the trimmer (Model TPA-181A050100UU01)
• IMPORTANT: Charge only with the provided USB-C cable and adapter (if any). Do not immerse the trimmer in the water while charging. Do not immerse the USB-C cable and adapter in water at any time.
• Use of equipment that does not conform to this instruction has the potential to cause hazards.

DANGER

To reduce the risk of electric shock:

• Do not reach for a trimmer, if connected to a power outlet, that has fallen into the water. Unplug immediately.
• Do not place or store the charging cord where it can fall or be pulled into a tub or sink. Do not place or drop into water or other liquid.
• Always unplug from the electrical outlet immediately after charging.
• Always unplug the trimmer from the electrical outlet before cleaning it in water.

BATTERY

• This trimmer contains 1 non-replaceable, Li-ion battery and contains materials that are hazardous to the environment.
• This symbol means that according to local laws and regulations, your product and/or its battery must be disposed of separately from household waste.
• When this trimmer is at the end of its life, completely discharge the battery and dispose of it at an E-Waste recycling site.

Charge it before the first use

Trimming

• The trimmer is designed to trim to the device’s shortest setting of 0.5mm without removing the comb. Just turn the zoom wheel to “0.5”.

Removing & installing the comb

• Never pull at the flexible top of the comb. Always pull at the sides.
• The comb can be removed at any position/length setting.

Cleaning

• Never dry the trimmer blade teeth with a towel or tissue, it may damage the trimmer teeth.
