Product Usage Instructions

Offline Cloning

  1. Ensure that the device is powered off and disconnected from the computer.

  2. Open the casing of your computer and locate the hard drive you want to clone.

  3. Connect the source hard drive (the one you want to clone) to the Source port of the offline cloning device.

  4. Connect the destination hard drive (the one you want to clone to) to the Destination port of the offline cloning device.

  5. Power on the offline cloning device.

  6. Press the Clone button on the device to start the cloning process.

  7. Wait for the cloning process to complete. The status LED on the device will indicate when it is finished.

  8. Power off the device and disconnect the hard drives. Switching to PC Mode and Connecting to Computer

  9. Ensure that the offline cloning device is powered off.

  10. Connect the offline cloning device to your computer using a USB cable.

  11. Power on the offline cloning device.

  12. Switch the device to PC mode by pressing the PC Mode button.

  13. Wait for your computer to recognize the device. This may take a few moments.

Assigning Drive Letter

If your computer is not assigned a drive letter or only one drive letter is displayed after connecting the offline cloning device, follow these steps:

  1. Right-click on the Offline button in the Disk Management utility.
  2. Choose Online from the context menu to bring the hard drive online.
  3. If multiple hard disks are connected simultaneously and there are conflicts between character disks, follow these steps:
  4. Open the Disk Management utility.
  5. Right-click on the corresponding HDD/SSD.
  6. Choose the option to assign a drive letter.

FAQ

Why is my computer not assigned a drive letter after connecting the offline cloning device?

There are two possible reasons for this:

  1. The hard drive is still in an offline state after the offline cloning process. You can bring it online by right-clicking the Offline button in the Disk Management utility and choosing Online.
  2. If multiple hard disks are connected simultaneously, there may be conflicts between character disks. You can easily assign a drive letter by right-clicking on the corresponding HDD/SSD in the Disk Management utility and selecting the option to assign a drive letter.

How to Operate Offline Clone

  1. Disconnect the PC insert two sata drives(capacity B≥A), and plug in the power supply.
  2. Slide the switch to clone made and press the “start” button for 5 seconds then all indicator lights are on, and hear a long beep which means the cloning process is started.
  3. The indicator light keeps on in se-quence during the cloning; Three long beep sounds will be heard when the clone finishes. Connect devices to PC, in disk management, target drive B is set to online.

After the offline cloning, switch to PC mode and connect to the computer. Why is the computer not assigned a drive letter? or only one drive letter is displayed?

There are two possible reasons for this to happen:

  1. After the offline cloning, the hard drive is still offline state when you connect the PC. You can display it by right-clicking the “Offline” button and choosing “Online.”
  2. When multiple hard disks are connected at the same time, there may be conflicts between character disks. You can right-click on the corresponding HDD/SSD in Disk Management, then you can easily assign a drive letter.
