Additionally, in order to reduce risk of squeezing pay attention during the maintenance operations and during clearing operations of the impeller. Also in this case it is recommended to keep the magnet at least 4 inches (10 cm) far from any surface or metallic objects to avoid abrupt magnetic attraction.
  • WARNING: Risk of electric shock – this pump is supplied with a ground conductor and ground-type attachment plug. To reduce the risk of electric shock, be certain that it is connected only to a properly grounded, ground-type receptacle.
  • CAUTION: This pump has been evaluated for use with fresh water only.
  • Before connecting the appliance to the electrical outlet, check that the cable and the appliance are not damaged in any way.
  • The appliance power cable must form an appropriate loop, facing downwards (DRIP LOOP – Fig. 1, Page 4), to prevent any runoff water from coming into contact with the socket itself.

INSTALLATION

  • The pump is equipped with a multistage threaded hose connector, which allows the pump to be connected to hard pipes or flexible hoses of various diameters (Fig. 3, Page 4).
  • Connect a tube to the pump outlet. Place the pump making sure that it is completely submersed in water and that it is stable. Connect the pump plug to the socket.

MAINTENANCE

  • Rotating parts need to be regularly accessed for cleaning. To this purpose it is recommended to not use any chemical detergents.
  • Follow the instructions on Page 5 & 6. Unfasten the cages as shown in Figure 1, Page 5. Remove the pump from its seat. Remove the volute, and take out the impeller and proceed with cleaning. Make sure that the bottom of the well is free from dirt and if necessary clean it. Replace all parts in reverse order.
  • When you put the impeller assembly in its place, please pay utmost attention to the magnetic force of the impeller itself. This in order to avoid any injury or damage to the impeller shaft and/or to the bearing present on the bottom that might compromise the correct functioning of the pump.
  • Turn the impeller disk, paying attention to follow the reference marks placed on the impeller and on motor body of the pump (Fig. 8, Page 6). Screw the volute back onto the pump, as shown in Fig. 11, Page 6.
