WARNING Risk of fire!
Do not store a spare LP gas cylinder under or near this appliance.

  • Never fill the cylinder beyond 80 % full
  • If the information above is not followed exactly, a fire causing death or serious injury may occur.
A frosty cylinder valve on the LP gas cylinder indicates possible gas overfill. Turn the gas supply off at the LP gas cylinder and contact the liquid propane supplier.

CAUTION Risk of fire!
Only use the gas pressure regulator provided with this appliance. This regulator is set for an outlet pressure of 11 inches water column.

NOTICE
The regulator is equipped with a QCC Type 1 quick closing connection system.

  • The regulator does not allow gas to flow until a positive seal has been made.
  • The regulator has a thermal element that shuts off the gas flow if the temperature reaches 240 °F (115 °C).
  • The regulator has a flow-limiting device that restricts the flow of gas to 10 cubic feet per hour (0.28 cubic meters per hour).
  • The liquefied petroleum (LP) cylinder must be constructed and marked in accordance with the specifications for LP
  • Gas Cylinders of the U.S. Department of Transportation (D.O.T.) or the National Standard of Canada, CAN/CSA-B339,
  • Cylinders, Spheres and Tubes for Transportation of Dangerous Goods and Commission.
  • Only use a standard 20 lbs (9 kg) LP gas cylinder with a type 1 – QCC safety valve.
  • The LP gas cylinder should be clearly marked with the text “Vapor Withdrawal”, This means it has a propane vapor withdrawal supply system. Position the LP gas cylinder properly for vapor withdrawal.
  • The LP gas cylinder must be provided with an overfilling prevention device (OPD).
  • The LP gas cylinder must include a collar to protect the LP cylinder valve.
  • Do not use an LP gas cylinder if it has a damaged valve/collar, or shows signs of dents, gouges, bulges, fire damage, corrosion, leakage, excessive rust, or other forms of visual external damage. Have the LP gas cylinder checked immediately by a liquid propane supplier.
  • Place dust cap on cylinder valve outlet whenever the cylinder is not in use. Only install the type of dust cap on the cylinder valve outlet that is provided with the cylinder valve. Other types of caps or plugs may result in leakage of  propane.

  2. Connect the cylinder valve of the regulator hose assembly (D) to the valve outlet of the LP gas cylinder.
Tighten the securing nut by hand by turning it clockwise (Fig. 10).

  3. Mix a solution of one part of water with one part of liquid soap in a clean bowl (not included) (Fig. 14) with a paint brush (not included).

  4. Turn the gas supply on at the LP gas cylinder.

  5. Use the paint brush to apply the solution on the connection points on the LP gas cylinder and the regulator hose assembly (D) (Fig. 15).

  6. Visually inspect for streams of bubbles coming from the connection points. This indicates that there is gas escaping.
If no gas bubbles appear at any connections, the connections are secure.
Ifa leak appears, repeat connecting the cylinder valve of the regulator hose assembly (D) to the valve outlet of the LP gas cylinder. Perform a gas leak test after reconnection to ensure a secure and leak-free connection.
Ifaleak continues to appear after reconnection, do not use the appliance. Have the LP gas cylinder checked immediately by a liquid propane supplier.

  7.  Wipe the LP gas cylinder and the regulator hose assembly (D) dry with a soft cloth.
