Product Information

The Taiahiro Mechanical Keyboard 981 is a versatile keyboard that can be used in both wired and Bluetooth modes. It features a compact design with dimensions of 80mm*94mm. The keyboard has several indicator lights to provide feedback on the operating mode, caps lock status, charging status, and Windows lock function. It also has a volume control knob, a system switch for different operating systems, a type-C charging port, a brightness adjustment knob, and a pull rod for switching backlight modes.

Indicator Description

1. Mode Indicator: This indicator light shows the current operating mode of the keyboard.
   • Wired Mode: The indicator is red. Connect the keyboard to a PC or laptop using the USB Type-C cable.
   • Bluetooth Mode: The indicator is blue. To pair the keyboard with a Bluetooth-enabled device, turn the switch to the BT position, press and hold FN and Q/W/E keys for 5 seconds, then open the Bluetooth switch on the device.
   • Off: Turn the switch to the OFF position to turn off the power.
2. Win Lock Indicator: This indicator light shows the status of the Windows lock function.
   • Blue Light: The Win Lock Function is open, and the Win key has no function.
   • Off: The lock key is closed, and the Win key recovers its function.
3. Capitals Lock Indicator (A/a): This indicator light shows the status of the caps lock function.
   • Blue Light: The caps lock function is turned on.
   • Off: Press the caps key again to turn off the caps lock function.
4. Charging Indicator: This indicator light shows the charging status of the keyboard.
   • Red and Flashing: The voltage is lower than 3.4V, indicating the need to charge the keyboard.
   • Blue Light Fixed: The keyboard is charging.
   • Off: The keyboard is fully charged.

Function Description

1. Volume: Use the right metal knob to adjust the volume.
2. Mode Switch: Use the left metal knob to switch between Bluetooth mode (BT), off (OFF), and wired mode (USB).
3. System Switch: Use this switch to select the operating system. Options include Windows/Android and Mac/iOS.
4. Type-C Charging Port: When the fourth indicator light turns red, use the Type-C charging cable to charge the keyboard. It takes approximately 6 hours to fully charge.
5. Left Metal Knob (Lightness): Use this knob to adjust the brightness of the backlight.
6. Pull Rod: Use the pull rod to switch between different backlight modes.

Product Usage Instructions

Connecting in Bluetooth Mode

1. Switch the mode switch to the BT position.
2. Press and hold the FN and Q/W/E keys for 5 seconds until the first indicator light starts flashing blue.
3. On your Bluetooth-enabled device, enable Bluetooth and search for available devices.
4. Select the keyboard from the list of available devices to pair and establish a connection.

Connecting in Wired Mode

1. Switch the mode switch to the USB position.
2. Connect the keyboard to your PC or laptop using the provided USB Type-C cable.

Adjusting Volume
Use the right metal knob to adjust the volume. Rotate the knob clockwise to increase the volume and counterclockwise to decrease it.

Selecting Operating System
Use the system switch to select the desired operating system. Choose between Windows/Android and Mac/iOS.

Charging the Keyboard
When the fourth indicator light turns red, it indicates that the keyboard needs to be charged. Connect the keyboard to a power source using the Type-C charging cable. It takes approximately 6 hours to fully charge. The charging indicator light will turn off when the charging is complete.

Adjusting Backlight Brightness
Use the left metal knob to adjust the brightness of the backlight. Rotate the knob clockwise to increase the brightness and counterclockwise to decrease it.

Switching Backlight Modes
Use the pull rod to switch between different backlight modes. Pull the rod to change the backlight mode according to your preference.

Additional Function Combinations
The keyboard has additional function combinations using the FN key. Refer to the provided manual for the specific combinations and their corresponding functions based on the operating system.

Indicator description

1. MODE INDICATOR

   • WIRED MODE:The indicator is red
     Turn the switch to USB position,the typewriter use USB Type-C cable connect with PC/Laptop,it is wired mode.Tips: In wired mode,the first indicator light will not light up if you connect the keyboard with computer without the charging cable in our packing.

   • BLUETOOTH MODE:The indicator is blue
     Turn the switch to BT position,press FN and Q/W/E keys and hold for 5 seconds, the first indicate keep blue flashing at this time, then open the bluetooth switch in the device to finish pairing.
     OFF(Turn off the power)
     Turn the switch to OFF positon

2. WIN LOCK INDICATOR
   Press FN+WIN key is the windows lock key switch.The light is blue when Win Lock Function is open,and Win key have no function at the same time.The light is off when lock key is closed and the Win key recovery function.

3. CAPITALS LOCK INDICATOR(A/a)
   Pressing the CAPS key is the caps lock switch.The indicator light is blue when the caps lock funtion is turned on and the light is off when press it again and the CAPS caps lick function is turned off.

4. CHARGING INDICATOR
   When the voltage is lower than 3.4V and the indicator light is red and flashing, it means the typewriter need to be charged;the blue light fixed when charging. The light off when it is full.When using individual mobile phone chargers to charge the typewriter.the indicator light will not light up.

Function description

1. Right Metal knob–Volume
   The volume switch is made of metal. Push the metal knob can adjust volume.

   BT: Bluetooth mode/ OFF: off / USB:Wired mode

3. Switch to the”BT”position

4. Press and hold (3 seconds) FN+Q/W/E to enter the code pairing state. At this time, the first indicator(NO.2①)and Q/W/E key light of the keyboard will flash.

5. Turn on the Bluetooth function of your device, search for”ML-981”and connect. It will keep fixed blue light under BT mode.

Sleep patterns
