Connect to 2.4Ghz Wi-Fi

BEFORE YOU START

Wi-Fi signal
The Alarm system is ONLY worked with a 2.4
GHz Wi-Fi signal, NOT a 5 GHz Wi-Fi signal.
For 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi You’ll need to know:

  • ONLY 5 GHz Wi-Fi router:
    You will NOT be able to complete the connection.

  • Dual Wi-Fi router with 2 Wi-Fi signals: Make sure that your phone was connected with the 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi signal, it should be the Wi-Fi signal that next to “5G”.

  • Dual Wi-Fi router only 1 Wi-Fi signal: You will have to manage your Wi-Fi router and change the siftings for have 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi.

Download the “AGSHOME” APP and sign up your account.

Turn on the Bluetooth and Connect your mobile to the 2.4 Vi-Fi

NOTE:
In order to use some functions normally, you need to turn on the location permission and the Bluetooth switch. turn on the notifications.
The privacy security of your personal information is guaranteed when the permissions are granted.
If you are already logged in 10 the App, you can click “Me – Settings button in the upper right corer – Privacy Siftings” 1o view the ” User Agreement” and ” Privacy Policy”.
select the Location “Always”.
Find locations, add devices, get a Wi-Fi network list, and perform scene automation.
Turn on Bluetooth switch of phone.
If not turned on, you cannot use bluetooth related functions.

QUICK SETUP GUIDE

  1. Power on the Wi-Fi gateway, and the red indicator flashes, indicating that it is waiting for networking
  2. Top the AGSHOME APP.
  3. Tap “+” to add a device, then tap “Add”.
  4. Enter your home Wi-Fi name and password, then tap “Next”
  5. Tap “Sensor’, then tap”+ Add” to pair a sensor, and the white light i on, indicating that it is waiting to add sensor
  6. Line up the contact Sensor together(Fig), then separate the 2parts of the contact Sensors(Fig2), then the Wi-Fi Gateway will fiash white light 1time and you will see the sensor on the app screen

Cancel Wi-Fi Gateway LED Alert

  1. LED of Wi-Fi gateway will flash red light when the sensor is triggered
  2. Tap the “Disarmed Mode” to cancel the LED alert.

RECEIVE APP ALERTS

Tap “Setting”, and tap “App Notification”, then make sure all notifications are turned on.

RESET THE Wi-Fi GATEWAY

  1. Unplug the Wi-Fi Gateway.
  2. Press and hold the button and power on the gateway at the same time until the white light flashes once and the red indicator flashes, indicating that the reset is successful

This RESET procedure includes deleting all sensors and remote controls from the Base Station, and clear the Wi-Fi setting.

What if my Gateway won’t connect to Wi-Fi within the app?
Recommended steps:
A. Check that your Gateway is connecting to the same 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network as your smartphone connected.
B. Check if your Wi-Fi router is broadcasting a 2.4G signal
i. If you only have a Ghz Wi-Fi router, you will NOT beagle to complete the connection.
ii. If you are using a dual Wi-Fi router and it broadcast 2 Wi-Fi signals, make sure that your phone was connected with the 2.4GHz Wi-Fi signal,
it should be the Wi-Fi signal next to”5G”.
iii. If you are using a dual Wi-Fi router but it broadcast only 1 Wi-Fi signal, you will have to manage your Wi-F router and change the settings to have 2.4GHz Wi-Fi.
What if my Contact sensor will not connect, or the Gateway will not alarm when trigger the Contact sensor?
Move the Contact Sensor closer to the Gateway. If this doesn’t help, follow the steps below:
A. Battery
i. Remove the cover from the contact sensor, and remove the battery.
ii. Wait a few seconds and then reinsert the battery.

If you get a quick LED flash, the Contact Sensor is working.
If nothing happens then try replacing the battery with a new one.
B. Installation
i. The sensor and magnet are not properly aligned. The convex triangular sides of the sensor and magnet need To face each other.
If you get a quick LED flash, the Contact Sensor is working.
If nothing happens then contact us for a new one.
C. Signal Range
i. Try to put the Gateway in the central location of your place, or move the Contact Sensor closer to the Gateway.
How do prevent false alarms?
False alarms are most often caused by human error. These mistakes offend include:
A. Improperly mounting Contact Sensors.
i. The space between the Contact Sensor and the Magnetism more than O.6inches.
Just make sure that the two pieces are less than O.6inches apart, and you see the LED blink when you open the door or window.
ii. Your sensor and the magnet are not mounted on a level.
Reinstall the sensor or magnet by adding more of the 3M tape and make the two pieces on the same level.
iii. Your Contact Sensor or magnet is mounted at an angle when you have curved or decorative molding.
You can offset mount the Contact Sensor and magnet, or rotate the magnet for a more secure fit.
iv. The convex triangular sides of the sensor and magnet do not face each other.
Reinstall the sensor and magnet, and make sure the two pieces’ convex triangular sides face each other.
B. Improper setting of the Contact Sensor’s security mode.
i. The Contact Sensor is set to ‘rigger the alarm in the: Away, Home, Disarmed Mode”, which will trigger the alarm even if your alarm system is set to Disarmed mode.
Tap “Accessories” in the app, and make sure the security model of the Contact Sensor is set to “Trigger the alarm in the: Away, Home Mode”.
C. Using Entry and Exit Delays that are too short.
Customize each delay for a longer time between O seconds (no delay) and 540 seconds (9 minutes). Just make sure you have enough time to arm and disarm your Alarm.
How can  identify which sensor was trigger when only receive the SOS notification?
The default name of every sensor is named “Sensor”. The default name of every remote/keypad is named “Remote”. We suggest that you rename each sensor/remote in the APP to differentiate them so that you will get the notification with the name of the sensor.
Recommended steps:
i. Tap “Accessories’in the App.
ii. Tap “Sensor”, then tap the pen icon to edit the device name and Save.
