Installation Diagram
Installation Steps
Install the Tripod
- Unfold the Tripod and pull out each leg to the appropriate height
- Fix the adjustment buckle switch of the metal frame
- Adjust the height of the three legs in sequence
Install the Telescope Optical Tube
- Align the screw hole cover on the bottom of the Telescope Optical Tube with the screw on the top of the Tripod, and rotate the screw to secure the Telescope Optical Tube
- Remove the dust cover from the front end of the Telescope Optical Tube
Install the Finderscope
- Insert the Finderscope fully into the upper left groove of the Telescope Optical Tube
- Adjust the view in the Finderscope by turning the Finderscope viewing side until it is clear
Install Zenith Mirror and Eyepiece
- Remove all dust covers from the Zenith Mirror
- Insert the thinner end of the Zenith Mirror into the focusing base to the bottom and tighten the screw
- Loosen the screws on the side of the open end of the Zenith Mirror
- Insert an Eyepiece and tighten the screw
- Adjust the focus knob until the field of view in the Eyepiece becomes clear
Tips
- Eyepiece Magnification: 6mm Eyepiece > 12mm Eyepiece > 20mm Eyepiece
- Recommended to use the 20mm Eyepiece to start the installation for observation, and then gradually replace the Eyepiece with higher magnification to expand the magnification
Start your observation
- Using Finderscope to locate the target to be observed and rotate the Finderscope to adjust the focus to make the Finderscope’s field of view clearer
- Slowly adjust the angle of the Telescope Optical Tube to find the target, then turn both focus knobs until the field of view is clear

Expand Functionality
Installing the 5x Barlow Lens
- The Eyepiece can be connected to the Barlow Lens for a larger magnified field of view
Installing the Phone Holder
- Insert the silver side of the Eyepiece through the Phone Holder and turn the fixing screws on both sides of the Phone Holder to secure the Eyepiece
- Continue to insert the silver side of the Eyepiece into the Zenith Mirror or 5x Barlow Lens and turn the screws to secure the Phone Holder and Eyepiece

Maintenance
FOKOOS FT10 Astronomical Telescope Preservation and Maintenance
The telescope is a precise optical instrument, which is designed for almost lifetime use and rarely needs maintenance. If necessary, it must be carried out by the factory. Following the following guidelines can keep your telescope in working condition.
- Keep the telescope in a dry and ventilated place.
- Minimize cleaning of optical lenses: A small amount of dust on the telescope lens has almost no impact on imaging quality.
- If necessary, dust on the lenses can be brushed off with a camel hair brush or blown off with air.
- Do not use cleaning fluids with aromatics, as this may damage your optical parts. Do not use chemical cleaning agents!

Warranty Policy
Base Statement
- FOKOOS FT10 Astronomical Telescope promises that the telescope will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 1 year. After inspection, if any product or part is found to be defective in material or workmanship, we will repair or replace it.
- The warranty is invalidated if the defect of the purchased product is found to be caused by any of the following: improper use personal negligence and/or negligence or wilful damage caused by unauthorised third parties negligence or wilful damage caused by the purchaser and/or third parties third parties repairs or alterations carried out by third parties without our instructions force majeure (storms, hailstones, fires, power failures, lightning strikes, floods, snowstorms, frosts, and other animal influences, etc.). The warranty will also be invalidated if the proof of purchase presented is damaged, illegible or incomplete.
- FOKOOS expressly disclaims any liability for any loss of profits arising from any breach of warranty or from the use of, or inability to use, any FOKOOS product.
