Read these instructions carefully and retain them for future use. If this product is passed to a third party, then these instructions must be included.
When using the product, basic safety precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of injury including the following:

CAUTION Risk of injury!
Direct exposure to high water pressure could result in personal injury. Even low pressure is very dangerous and can cause personal injury.

CAUTION Risk of damage to swivel connector! Use flexible garden hose only. Do not use solid or rigid piping.

• Keep the work area clean and dry. Damp or wet work areas can result in injury.

• Keep children away from work area. Do not allow children to handle this product.

• Do not modify this product, and do not use this product for a purpose for which it was not intended.

• Before using this product, carefully check that it operates properly and performs its intended function. Check for damaged parts and any other conditions that may affect the operation. Replace damaged or worn parts immediately.

• Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and balance at all times to prevent tripping, falling, or back injury, etc.

• Do not use the product when tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol or medication. A moment of inattention while operating this product may result in a personal injury.

• Ensure that the product is properly assembled and installed before connecting input and output hoses.

• Make sure the incoming water pressure does not exceed the rated operating pressure of the product.

• Do not use hoses different from that for which the product is intended.
  See “Specifications” chapter.

• Do not leave water running through the hose reel unsupervised.

• Do not expose the product to freezing temperatures with water remaining in the unit.

• Turn the water off after each use.

• Do not drink water from the hose.

• This product is intended for private use only.

1.1 Tires
WARNING Risk of injury!
Always monitor the tire pressure of the product. Over inflating is just as dangerous as having too little air.

• The tires of the product are resilient against punctures. The tires can work on a rocky terrain. However, it is best to tidy up and keep the pathway free from sharp objects.
• The tires are easy to inflate. Be aware of the correct level and follow the specifications for the tire for cold inflation pressure.
• The tires of the product are not for highway use.

Before First Use

DANGER Risk of suffocation!
Keep any packaging materials away from children — these materials are a potential source of danger, e.g. suffocation.

• Remove all the packing materials.
• Remove and review all components before starting assembly/use/ installation.
• Check the product for transport damages.

Assembly

For additional illustrated assembly steps, refer to the end of the written instructions.

Setting Up

1. Verify that there is a rubber gasket (O) inside the swivel water inlet (C2). Connect the leader hose (N) to the swivel water inlet (C2). Secure the connection by hand.
2. Rotate the drum so that the garden hose outlet (C1) faces downwards.
3. Verify that there is a seal inside the female end of the garden hose. Connect the garden hose to the garden hose outlet (C1). Secure the connection by hand.
4. Wind the hose on the sleeve (B) using the crank handle (K). Hand guide the hose and guide it evenly on the sleeve (B) to achieve maximum capacity.

Use

• To extend: Pull the garden hose manually.
• To wind: Rotate the drum using the crank handle (K).

Cleaning and Maintenance

7.1 Cleaning

• Toclean the product, wipe with a soft, slightly damp cloth.
• Never use corrosive detergents, wire brushes, abrasive scourers, metal or sharp utensils to clean the product.

7.2 Maintenance

• User servicing of the reel is limited to replacing input/output hoses and/ or their seals only. Refer all other repairs to a professional repair center. Failure to do so can result in personal injury and/or product damage.
• Check the components regularly to make sure all bolts are tightened.

7.3 Wheel tire maintenance
If the wheel tires feels soft and squishy the tire pressure is insufficient and the tires needs to be pumped. To pump up a wheel tire:

1. Unscrew the cap of the air valve on the wheel (J).
2. Connect the air valve of the wheel to an air pump.
3. Pump air into the wheel tire until the wheel is firm when pressed down but not so hard that it does not indent when pressed.
4. Disconnect the bicycle pump and screw the cap of the air valve back on the wheel (J).

7.4 Rust prevention

• As with any steel product, there is always the chance for rust developing over time. Even the toughest of coatings can be compromised by scratches. Such minor surface damage can occur in shipping or during assembly and/or installation.
• If the base metal is exposed to the elements long enough, rust might develop. It is recommend to periodically inspect the product for any surface damage. Scratches can easily be repaired by using standard touch-up body paint.

7.5 Fixing leaking swivel water inlet
It is normal for the swivel to leak slightly until the seal (located on the inside of the swivel) is wet and seated. If the leaking continues:

1. If the leader hose (N) is attached to the swivel (C2), unscrew the hose and look inside the swivel.
2. Using either a hex key or a large screwdriver (not provided), insert the tool into the opening and gently tighten the threaded insert. Do not over-tighten.
3. Check the seal as it might be damaged. If damaged, replace the seal with the same type/size.

7.6 At the end of the season

1. Clean the product thoroughly.
2. Drain water before storage.
3. Paint any scratches using standard touch-up body paint.

If none of the above prevented the leaks, the inner o-ring might be damaged. The o-ring can be reached and replaced by taking off the retaining clip on the swivel water inlet. If in doubt, consult a professional.
Swivel connector is not rotating, causing the leader hose to kink up.| Disconnect the leader hose, spray lubricant inside the swivel connector to lubricate the inner o-ring. Afterwards turn the swivel connector several times.
Hose does not fully fit on the sleeve.| Cut down hose to meet reels maximum hose capacity.
Hand guide hose on the sleeve to wrap around the sleeve evenly.
