FRONT PANEL

FRONT PANEL OVERVIEW

  • The LED id blue when the PA-10 EVO is switched on and ready to play. The red LED indicates that the amplifier is on standby, this is only possible when using the GN Link trigger.
  • The LED is purple when both audio channels are muted during power-up while the amplifier reaches the optimal operating conditions.
  • If the PA-10 EVO goes into protection mode while playing music, the LED turns purple and both audio channels are muted until the amplifier can operate normally again.*
    • Please note that the amplifier will resume playing at the same volume level, no attenuation is applied.

PA-10 EVO INSTALLATION

CONNECTIONS

RCA CONNECTION

  • The PA-10 EVO can be connected to your audio system via unbalanced RCA inputs or balanced XLR inputs. The PA-10 EVO is
  • extremely flexible and you can set it up in a wide variety of configurations, as shown in the following pages.

XLR CONNECTION
Press the BAL button on the rear of the PA-10 EVO to use the XLR connection.

  • MONO MODE (M) XLR CONNECTION WITH TWO PA-10 EVO
    Press the BAL and M buttons of each PA-10 EVO for this configuration.

  • MONO MODE (M) RCA CONNECTION WITH TWO PA-10 EVO
    Press the M button of each PA-10 EVO for this configuration.

PLEASE NOTE:
Mono mode (M) is only available on PA-10 EVO and requires two units to work correctly. The PA-10 EVO cannot be matched with PA-10.

BI-WIRING CONNECTION

  • The PA-10 EVO can be easily matched with speakers designed for bi-wiring.
  • To drive bi-wiring speakers, you need a pair of PA-10 EVOs which must both be set in MONO mode. Connect the cables as shown in the picture below to complete the installation.

LINE OUTPUT CONNECTION

  • The PA-10 EVO features a balanced line output, making it an even more versatile power amplifier, easy to connect with other amplifiers, active speakers, and so on.
  • The line output can be used when the PA-10 EVO is turned OFF, acting as a link.
  • When the PA-10 EVO is ON, both the line output and speaker output are active.

ATTENTION

  • Gold Note products should only be opened, serviced and inspected by certified Gold Note technicians and dealers. Work performed by unqualified personnel may cause serious damage or personal injury. Opening of the product by non-authorised personnel will void the guarantee.
  • In this case, contact your dealer to be advised on how the fault can be solved.
  • Do not return any object directly to the factory or to the distributor without being authorised to do so.

TROUBLESHOOTING

CLEANING THE UNIT

  • With EXTREME care use ONLY water or detergents for delicate surfaces with a very soft cloth to sweep dust and remove stains.
  • Any acid or not extremely soft cloth will irreversibly damage the unit fine aesthetic. Do not use alcohol.
