Installation

  1. The Yoshimura Swingarm Pivot Kit changes the suspension geometry by raising or lowering the swingarm position from stock thus resulting in change in characteristic and handling of the motorcycle.
Note: Determine the desired swingarm position before continuing. Refer to the diagram above to see what orientation the 13720RB-1.5SP, 13720 Pivot Spacers need to be for the desired swingarm position.

  2. Lubricate the OEM pivot shaft, swingarm bearings, and 13720-RB-1.5SP, 13720 Pivot Spacers with NLGI-2 Lithium Grease.

  3. Place 13720-RB-1.5SP, 13720 Pivot Spacer into 13720-RB-RH, Right Relocator Bracket in the desired orientation. Reinstall the 13720-RB1.5SP, 13720 Pivot Spacer and 13720-RB-RH, Right Relocator Bracket onto the right side of the motorcycle. Ensure  the 13720-RB-1.5SP, 13720 Pivot Spacer is properly installed into the swingarm and 13720-RB-RH, Right Relocator Bracket. Hand tighten all bolts for now.
Note: Improper installation of 13720-RB-1.5SP, 13720 Pivot Spacer can lead to binding in later steps and can lead to damage.
Note: Ensure the flange is fully seated in the pocket.

  4. Place 13720-RB-1.5SP, 13720 Pivot Spacer into 13720-RB-LH, Left Relocator Bracket in the same orientation as in step 3. Take the OEM pivot shaft and slide it through 13720-RB-LH, Left Relocator Bracket and 13720-RB-1.5SP, 13720 Pivot Spacer. Ensure  the 13720-RB1.5SP, 13720 Pivot Spacer is still properly aligned.

Note: Ensure the Flange is fully seated in the pocket.
Note: If the left and right 13720-RB-1.5SP, 13720 Pivot Spacers are not in the same orientation it will cause the OEM pivot shaft to bind and may damage the part and frame.

  5. Torque all bolts to factory specifications.

  6. Reverse removal steps to reinstall OEM foot peg assembles and side plates to complete installation.
Note: Reinstall the OEM kickstand if it is still being used.
