FITTING INSTRUCTIONS TO SUIT
VZ V & COMMODORE FITTED WITH THE 175 KW AND 130 KW
ALLOY-TEC V6 ENGINE
PACEMAKER HEADERS PART NO. PHSOE9
PH 5069 Alloytec V6 VZ Commodore and WL Statesman
IMPORTANT Place anti zapper across battery terminals
FROM THE TOP
Un-pop and remove engine covers
Remove all heat shields from around both manifolds
Remove dipstick and place to one side (driver’s side)
FROM UNDERNEATH
Disconnect engine pipes from manifolds
Unclip and disconnect oxygen sensors
Un-bolt and remove engine pipes and cat converters
Unscrew oxygen sensors and place to one side
Unbolt steering arm from steering rack and place to one side
Remove chassis to fire wall brace (driver’s side only)
LH SIDE
Un-bolt and remove manifold through the top
Using a gasket, place all four lower bolts into place
Gently lower headers in from the top and hang into place
Replace remaining three upper bolts and tighten up headers
RH SIDE
Un-bolt and remove manifold down through the bottom
Using a gasket, place all four lower bolts into place
From underneath, gently place headers up and into the engine bay and hang into
position
Replace chassis to fire wall brace (driver’s side only)
Reassemble steering arm to steering rack and replace bolt and tighten
Replace remaining three upper bolts and tighten up headers
Replace dip stick
