MENNEKES Charge Point Manager

About this document

This document contains important information and instructions for the proper use of the software by users.

The software allows users to configure individual charging stations or charge point networks and analyse operating data.

In order to use the software, the following requirements must be met:

✔ Terminal device (laptop) with Windows 10 or higher operating system.
✔ Charging station and terminal device are on the same network.
✔ Charging station has been properly installed and configured by a qualified electrician.
✔ Charging station has at least firmware version 5.12.x installed.

 Comply with all additional documents for your product, especially the operating and installation manuals.

Toolbar

  1. Search for charging stations in the local network
    The search can be performed manually or automatically. After a successful search, the charging stations are displayed below the toolbar in list form. (“5.1 Read more” } 6])

  2. Add charging stations manually
    Add more charging stations to the list of charging stations that were not found in the automatic search by entering additional IP addresses.

  3. Save list of charging stations as a project
    The list of charging stations can be saved as a project, in order to back up the data for future reuse. Optionally, a password can be assigned to protect the project data.

  4. Load list of charging stations as a project
    Load a saved project to restore the list of charging stations.

  5. Delete charging stations
    Delete list of charging stations.

  6. Update status of charging stations
    Update the status of the charging stations in the list.

  7. Export statistical data
    Export statistical data of all charging processes as an Excel file. (“5.3 Read more” } 7])

  8. Select options

    • Save the project file under a specific folder.
    • Protect the project file with a password.
    • The list entries are refreshed every 30 seconds.
    • Import RFID whitelist for all charging stations in one step. (“5.4 Read more” } 7])

To sort the list of charging stations by column, select the column heading.

Column heading Description
Context menu with additional functions.

?| Communication status of the charging station.

  • Green: Charging station in  order
  • Grey: Charging station not  found
  • Yellow: Check password of charging station
  • Red: Charging station in error status

Type| Illustration of charging station.

To display the type of charging station, hold the mouse pointer briefly over the illustration.

Serial No.| Serial number of the charging station.
IP| IP address of the charging station. To open the web interface of the char- ging station, select the IP address in the list.

FW-Version| Firmware version of the charging station.
Name| Assign individual name for the charging station.
Operator Password| Password for the user “operator” to access the web interface of the charging station. The access data can be found on the setup data sheet for the product. Access to the web interface with the user “operator” is intended exclusively for qualified electricians.
Connector state| Status of the charge points of the charging station.
Errors and Warnings| Current errors of the charging station.
Current Power| Current charging power.
Charging Current| Current charging current.
Signaled Current| Maximum charging current available to the connected vehicle.

Context menu

Open the context menu by selecting the “cogwheel” icon in the first column. Alternatively, open the context menu by right-clicking on a line in the list.

Menu entry Description
Edit Assign an individual name for the charging stations. With an individual

name, charging stations are easier to recognise and the list becomes easier to navigate.
Delete| Remove the charging station from the list.
Refresh state| Update the status of the charging station.

Updating the status of all charging stations every 30 seconds can also be enabled via the “cogwheel” icon in the toolbar

Updating the status of all charging stations at any desired time can also be enabled via the “Refresh” icon on the toolbar.

Open WebHMI| Open the web interface of the charging station.
Reboot| Restart the charging station.
Export Statistics| Export the charging statistics as an Excel file.
Export Log| Export the log file of the charging station as a text file. Exporting the log file can take up to 5 minutes.
Export whitelist| Export the RFID whitelist of the charging station as an Excel file for later

reuse.

Import whitelist| Import the RFID whitelist of the charging station from an Excel file. (Import RFID whitelists for multiple charging stations via the “cogwheel” icon in the toolbar. Time-consuming teaching of the RFID cards is no longer necessary. )

Function descriptions

Search for charging stations in the network
  • Select the “Magnifying glass” icon in the toolbar to open the “Select subnet” window

  1. Option field for the automatic search by selecting the network interface under (2).
  2. For the automatic search, select the network interfaces to which the charging stations are connected. Primarily, charging stations are accessible via network interfaces for Ethernet or WLAN. It is possible to select multiple network interfaces.
  3. Optional field for the automatic search of all connected network interfaces. Depending on the available network interfaces, the search may take a long time.
  4. Optional field for the manual search. This search finds charging stations connected to the subnet entered in (5).
  5. Input field for the IP address of the subnet for the manual search.
Open the web interface of the charging station in the browser
  • In the list of charging stations, select the “cogwheel” icon for the charging station.

  • In the context menu, select “Open WebHMI”.

  • Alternatively, in the “IP” column, open the displayed “IP address”.
    ⇨ A browser window appears, prompting you to enter the login data of the selected charging station.

  • Access to the web interface with the user “operator” is intended exclusively for qualified electricians.

  • Enter user name (operator) and password.

 The user is logged out of the web interface if the following conditions are met:

✔ The web interface was opened via the Charge Point Manager.
✔ Automatic updating of the list of charging stations via the “cogwheel” icon in the toolbar is enabled.

Charging statistics of the charging stations

Charging statistics created via the toolbar contain data from all charging stations.

Charging statistics created via the context menu contain data from the selected charging station.

Charging statistics include, but are not limited to, the following information:

  • Name of the charging station.
  • Serial number of the charging station.
  • Start date and start time of the charging process.
  • Duration of the charging process.
  • Charged energy in Wh.
  • The RFID-UID of the RFID tag used for a charge.
RFID whitelist

An existing RFID whitelist can be exported and imported for individual charging stations or charge point networks. This eliminates the time-consuming manual teaching of the RFID card.
