SUGGESTED USAGE & DOSING GUIDELINES
Nitro-Buster is a natural organic biological additive designed to reduce
ammonia levels in residential and municipal wastewater treatment systems, pump
stations, drain lines, composting toilets, lagoons, ponds, and fish
hatcheries. When used as directed, bacterial action will quickly and
effectively convert ammonia into nitrites. By speeding up the ammonia removal
rate, denitrification can be established earlier in newly installed or
struggling wastewater treatment systems. Nitro-Buster is an easy-to-use
concentrated liquid that can be dosed directly into the aeration chamber or
the inlet of the treatment system.
Monthly maintenance dosage is recommended to prevent system relapse. Dosing
rates vary by application and are system dependent. Norweco recommends
following the suggested usage and dosing application guidelines below to
maximize the product performance of Nitro-Buster.

Nitro-Buster contains a unique blend of Nitrosomonas and Nitrobacter bacteria
strains capable of oxidizing ammonia at high rates in harsh environments.
Temperature affects the biological activity of the formulation, increasing
action with rising temperatures up to 110°F. Reduced activity can be expected
at temperatures below 40°F. Bacteria in Nitro-Buster perform within a pH range
of 6.5 to 8.5 with the best performance near pH 8.2.
Nitro-Buster is available in quart or gallon bottles for easy handling and
storage. To determine the best application rate for additional applications,
contact your local Nitro-Buster distributor or Norweco, Inc. for the
recommended dosage to achieve optimal performance with your system.
