A001 Personal Alert System
User Guide

WELCOME TO YOUR DETECTUR
Detectur is a personal alert system that utilizes a Radio Frequency transmitter and receiver to detect motion of anything to which the transmitter is attached, with a range of up to 250 yards/meters.

CONTENTS

  • 1 battery powered transmitter.
  • 1 double-sided tape for transmitter.
  • 1 CR 2032 Battery and 1 spare. (Average battery life is one year.)
  • 1 alarm (receiver) with USB cable and optional wall mount fixture.
  • 1 110v-240v — 50/60Hz AC/DC power supply for alarm.

ASSEMBLY & INSTALLATION

  1. Remove the transmitter, alarm, 1 battery, power supply, double-sided tape, and USB cable.
  2. Attach the power supply to the alarm using the USB cable.
  3. Insert the battery into the transmitter (see tips on back for opening the transmitter and placing battery).
  4. Place the alarm in the desired location and plug into a power outlet.
  5. Test the alarm by moving the transmitter in any direction. The alarm should light up and beep 3 times. Use the reset button (next to the USB port on the alarm) to turn off the light.
  6. Attach provided double-sided tape to the back of the transmitter and affix in desired location.

NOTES
a. Use the optional wall mount attached to the back of the alarm to easily install on a wall.
b. When the transmitter battery is low, the alarm light will blink slowly.
c. Distance between transmitter and alarm can be up to 250 yards/meters or more if in direct line of sight.
Obstacles such as vehicles or walls can impair reception efficiency.

TIPS FOR INSERTING BATTERY

  1. Open the transmitter as follows:
    A. Remove the two white plugs at either end.
    B. Hold one side of the transmitter at the ends and the other part at the sides.
    C. Squeeze the sides (but not the ends) and pull apart.

  2. Circuit board can swing outward to expose battery slot.

  3. Insert battery with plus side facing up. (There is a + sign on the larger side of the battery.)

  4. Swing circuit board back into the transmitter and snap the two sides together.

  5. Reinsert the white plugs at each end.

The transmitter is now “live” and movement of it will cause it to transmit to the receiver.
