Product Usage Instructions
Safety Warnings
Ensure proper handling and use of the cookware. Take note of the different
handle types and their features. Use caution while cooking to prevent
accidents and injuries.
Usage Guide
Cooking:
- For best cooking and frying results, use lower heat settings to prevent the pan from becoming too hot and minimize carbonization of food and oils.
- The Blue Diamond™ nonstick coating distributes heat more effectively, which may cause some foods to cook more quickly than usual.
Food Release:
- To release any remaining food, add a small amount of water or broth to the pan while it’s still hot. The steam created will help loosen the food.
Cooking Oils and Fats:
- Use cooking oils and fats as recommended in your recipes or according to your preferences.
Utensils:
- Use plastic, silicone, or wooden utensils to avoid damaging the Blue Diamond™ nonstick coating and prolong the lifespan of your pan.
Care and Cleaning
Cleaning:
- Wash the pan with warm soapy water after each use to remove food residue and maintain its performance.
Storing Pans Properly:
- Store pans in a dry and clean environment to prevent damage and maintain their quality.
Cutlery:
- Take care while using knives or other sharp objects near the cookware to avoid scratching or damaging the surface.
Warranty Information:
The Blue Diamond™ Cookware comes with a 90-day guarantee and limited
warranty provided by The Cookware Company (USA), LLC. For detailed terms,

SAFETY WARNINGS
Please read all safety information carefully and thoroughly before using this product.
- Never leave cookware unattended while in use and do not allow children near the stove while cooking.
- Use caution when handling hot cookware. Make sure the handles do not extend over the edge of the stove and do not allow handles to extend over an in-use burner or they may become hot resulting in a burn hazard.
- If the handle of your cookware becomes loose, stop using immediately and tighten the screw or other fixation device. Using cookware with a loose handle can result in a burn injury. If you are unable to tighten the handle, contact customer service.
- The handles of your cookware are constructed to minimize heat transfer. However, lids and handles may become hot during prolonged cooking. Use caution when removing lids or lifting with the handles. Use oven mitts if necessary.
- Where Bakelite handles or stainless steel handles with silicone are fitted, always check the packaging for specific temperature guidelines.
- Do not use in a microwave.
- Do not plunge a hot lid into water, as the thermal shock can cause the lid to shatter.
Construction | Oven Safety |
---|---|
Wooden Handles | Not Oven Safe |
Printed Design Handles | 320°F (160°C)* |
Bakelite Handles | 350°F (180°C) |
Silicone Handles | 392°F (200°C) |
Glass Lids | 425°F (218°C)** |
Stainless Steel Handles | 600°F (315°C)*** |
Some handle discoloration may occur at temperatures above 280°F (138°C).
Please default to handle oven safety when your lid is not fitted with
stainless steel handle.
Stainless steel begins to tarnish at 390°F (200°C). This is natural and
doesn’t affect the performance of the pan.
USAGE GUIDE
Before First Use:
- Remove all packaging materials and labels. Please recycle waste properly.
- Wash in warm soapy water; rinse and dry thoroughly with a soft cloth.
Cooking:
Recommendations to prevent the warping of your Blue DiamondTM product:
- Never leave an empty pan on a hot burner. Doing so can permanently damage your pan & stovetop.
- Do not allow boiling water in your pan to heat until it is evaporated.
- Do not put hot cookware under cold water. Allow the cookware to cool completely.
Recommendations for best cooking and frying results:
-
Cook on a burner that is similar in base diameter to the pan you have selected.
-
When cooking on gas, adjust the flame so it does not flare up the sides of the pan.
-
Heat settings are very important. Low to medium heat settings are recommended for most cooking. Lower heat settings prevent the pan from becoming too hot, minimizing carbonization of food and oils. Blue Diamond™ nonstick coating distributes heat more effectively, and may cause some foods to cook more quickly.
Recommendations for best food release: -
Always start with a clean pan. Wash carefully with a soft cloth or sponge and be sure that you have removed all traces of cooking oil and food before you store your pan.
-
Remove food from the refrigerator 10 minutes before you intend to cook and fry.
-
Do not drop the pan on the floor and be careful not to warp or bend the pan as this may deform the ceramic nonstick coating, resulting in reduction of nonstick properties.
-
If food slightly sticks to the pan during cooking, add a small amount of water. Adding moisture will create a burst of steam that will release any remaining food.
-
Note: after a while, there is a natural reduction of the nonstick properties. This process is accelerated by prolonged exposure of the nonstick surface to the high heat, which causes the carbonization of food and oil.
-
Blue Diamond™ nonstick can withstand accidental over-heating up to 850°F for short periods, which is a safety feature. In addition, the coating itself will not blister or peel. Please note this temperature only refers to the coating. Refer to packaging for specific temperature guidelines.
-
If your Blue Diamond™ set includes bakeware, these products are oven-safe up to 428°F.
-
For lids and handles, please refer to your packaging for temperature recommendations.
Cooking oils and fats:
- We recommend using a small amount of oil or butter when cooking with your Blue Diamond™.
- Use oils with a high smoke point, such as refined olive oil, peanut oil, corn oil or clarified butter.
- Do not use extra virgin olive oil or oil sprays, including aerosol, mist and pump sprays. These will carbonize on your nonstick surface.
- Because of the excellent heat conductivity of your pan and the nonstick layer, food and oil can carbonize very rapidly.
- Always cook on low to medium heat, using high heat only when searing and browning.
- Always distribute oil evenly onto the surface of the pan.
Utensils:
- While your cookware is metal utensil safe, we recommend using plastic, silicone or wooden utensils to prolong the life of you pan.
- Do not use sharp objects to cut food in your pan.
- Avoid using force to strike the rim or surface of your cookware with utensils.
CARE AND CLEANING
-
Allow the pan to cool and then clean it thoroughly after each use.
-
While Blue Diamond™ products are dishwasher safe, we recommend hand washing in warm, soapy water to prolong the life of your pan.
-
Slight surface marks and discolorations are normal.
-
Do not use steel wool or nylon scrubbing pads. For best result, clean with a soft cloth or sponge.
-
Do not use oven cleaner or other abrasive cleaners
-
Do not use cleaners that contain chlorine bleach.
-
When using high heat in combination with cooking fats and oil, brown deposits can form on the nonstick coating. This can create carbonized oil and fat films that weaken the nonstick performance. If this happens, remove food debris, boil water in the pan and then let cool. Wash with warm water.
-
For more severe burns, wash with a melamine sponge. Pour a shallow pool of warm water into the pan and rub in a circular motion.
-
Always ensure the pan is clean before you store it.
-
Slight surface marks and discolorations developed over time are normal and will not affect the performance of the coating.
Storing Pans Properly: -
Do not store metal utensils inside of your pans. Always nest your pans carefully, placing pan spacers in between to protect your nonstick coating.
Cutlery:
Cleaning: Sharp Stone knives are easy to wipe clean and they’re
dishwasher safe
Sharpening: Our thick stainless steel blades are extra durable, but you may notice some dulling after extensive use. Our knives are designed to be sharpened and deliver years of ultra thin slicing
Finish: Over time, the finish will wear off, but this will not affect the performance of your knives. Cutting Surfaces: We recommend cutting boards that are smooth, easy to clean, and have a bit of give. Wooden cutting boards and high-quality polyethylene boards are best.
Tips:
-
Clean your blades after use. Leaving acidic foods (tomato, lemon, etc) on the blade may cause tarnishing. To polish a tarnished blade, use a non-abrasive metal polish.
-
Don’t use Sharp Stone knives to cut through bone or to poke, pry, separate, or cut
semi-frozen or frozen foods. -
Using these knives for tasks outside of their intended purpose (e.g. as screwdrivers or can openers) may result in bending or breaking the blade.
Storage: Proper care starts with proper storage. Here’s how to keep your knives ready to go. Drawer: It’s best to use knife sheaths when storing knives in the drawer. That way, you don’t cut your hands and your knives are protected against dings from other utensils.
