The Oakcastle CD125 Portable CD Player is a versatile and portable device that allows you to enjoy your favorite music on the go. It comes with a range of accessories including a 3.5mm to 3.5mm AUX cable, USB to Type-C USB charging cable, earphones, and an instructions guide. The player is compatible with various formats including CD, CD-R, CD-RW, MP3, WMA, and HDCD. It also supports TF cards up to 32GB, allowing you to expand your music library.

Product Usage Instructions

Inserting and Playing a Disc:

To insert a disc, follow these steps:

  • Push the OPEN button on the right-hand side to open the door.
  • Insert your index finger into the center hole of the disc and take the edge of the disc with your thumb.
  • Press the disc gently to make it steady and ensure it is properly in place.
  • Close the disc door gently.

Note: The player is only compatible with CD, CD-R, CD-RW, MP3, WMA, and HDCD formats.

Inserting and Playing a TF Card:

To insert a TF card and play its contents:

  • Insert the TF card into the player.
  • Hold down the play button on the player.

Note: The TF card supports up to 32GB.

Turning On and Off the Player:

To turn on the player:

  1. Slide the power switch located on the side to the ON position.
  2. Alternatively, when the power switch is already in the ON position, press the PLAY button once.

Note 1: If the player enters standby mode after playing a disc and no activity is detected for 20 seconds, press the PLAY button to restart the player.

Note 2: To lock the buttons and prevent accidental presses, toggle the HOLD switch on the side to the ON position. Toggle it back to the OFF position to release the buttons.

To turn off the player:

  1. Press the STOP button twice.
  2. Alternatively, slide the power switch to the OFF position.

Note: If the player will not be used for a long time, it is recommended to turn the power switch to the OFF position.

Setting Up Playback Modes:

To set up different playback modes:

  • Press the MODE button to cycle through the available modes: Repeat 1 (REP!), Repeat all (ALL), Random Play (SHUF), and Preview Play (INTRO).

Programming Tracks:

To program tracks for playback:

  • When the play stops, press the PROG button to enter programming mode.
  • Use the PREVIOUS or NEXT button to select the track you want to program.
  • Press PROG again to confirm the programming.
  • You can program up to 30 tracks in this mode.
  • To enter programming play mode, press the PLAY button. To cancel or reprogram, press the STOP button directly to enter the stop mode.

Playing MP3 Discs:

To play MP3 discs:

  • Ensure the player is powered on.
  • Insert the MP3 disc into the player and close the disc door gently.
  • Use the DIR button to select the playlist when playing an MP3 disc.

Adjusting Volume and Sound Effects:

To adjust the volume:

  • Rotate the volume knob located on the side of the player to the left or right to decrease or increase the volume.
  • Listen to music at an appropriate volume to protect your ears.

To set up different sound effects:

  • Press the EQ button to cycle through the available sound effects: BBS, POP, JAZZ, ROCK, and CLASSIC.

How to insert a disc

Insert TF Card

After inserting the TF card, hold down the play button on the player. NOTE: The TF card supports up to 32GB.

How to Turn the Player on

There are two ways to turn on the player:

  1. The power switch is located on the side. Slide it to ON position to turn on the player.
  2. When the power switch is in ON position, only press PLAY button once to turn on the player.
    NOTE: When a disc is played to the end and there is no activity after 20 seconds, the player will enter a standby mode. Please press the PLAY button to restart the player.
    NOTE 2: A HOLD switch is on the side to lock the operations of all buttons to avoid mistouch.

How to Turn the Player off

There are two ways to turn off the player:

  1. Press STOP button twice to turn off the player. ( In this way, the player will start from the beginning).
  2. Slide the power switch to OFF position to turn off the player. It will start from where you stopped when you turn it on.

How to Charge the Player

How to choose a charger: This product is only equipped with one charging cable. You can choose any charger that supports USB 2.0 protocol or standard USB charger of a cellphone running in Android or iOS system to charge for the player.
Charging Time: It will be take approx. 4 hours to fully charge the player according to the standard USB 2.0 protocol. When the battery is being charged, the LED indicator is red. Once the player is fully charged, the LED indicator will turn green.
NOTE: When there is low battery symbol showing on the screen, it means that you need to charge the player.

PLAY

How to Set-Up the Circle Mode
Each time the MODE button is pressed, the order of the tracks played will be as follows: Repeat 1 (REP!), Repeat all (ALL), Random Play (SHUF), Preview Play (INTRO) (only 10 second per track will be played in this mode).

How to Program the Player
Press the PROG button to each the programming mode when the play stops, press the PREVIOUS or NEXT button to select the track you want t program, press PROG again to confirm the programming. Up to 30 tracks can be programmed in this mode. After that, press the PLAY button to enter the programming play mode. Press the STOP button directly to enter the stop mode to cancel or reprogram.

How to Play MP3 Disc
Be sure the player is power on, while inserting the MP3 disc into the player, then close the disc door gently.
DIR Button: Select the playlist when it plays a MP3 disc.

How to Set-up Sound

How to Adjust Volume
The volume knob is located on the side of the player. Rotate it to the left or right to decrease or increase the volume. Please listen to music at an appropriate volume to protect the ears.

How to Set-Up EQ Effect
Press the EQ button to change the different sound effects. There are a total of 5 sound effects: BBS, POP, JAZZ, ROCK and CLASSIC.

A-B Repeat

  • Press the display until it shows “A ON”.
  • Press it again, the display shows “AB ON” which means it will repeat by A-B.
  • Cancel A-B: Press A-B button once again, the display shows “AB OFF”.

OTHER FEATURES

Time Setting of Screen Sleep
The screen will be turned off after 10 second of inactivity. The screen will be turned on when any button is pressed.

Key Lock
After playback mode and sound effects have been set-up, you can toggle the power switch to the HOLD position.

  • ON: The player will return to the last stop-track on the disc.
  • OFF: The player will not return to the last stop-track on the disc.
  • Press and hold the PROG button to turn the last memory function on or off. ON or OFF will display on the screen.
  • NOTE: Press STOP twice and PLAY once,, it will be played from the beginning.

Connect to AUX devices
In order to use this player in different occassions, an extra AUX cable has been supplied to connect this player to any device with AUX interface conveniently, such as: home theatre, music centre, Bluetooth speakers, vehicles, headphone amplifiers and more.

TROUBLESHOOTING

Problem Reason Solu on
Cannot be turned on Switch is not turned on. Press the

The disc cannot be recognised.| The player is only compa ble with CD,

CDR, MP3 & HDCD

The disc is dirty or damaged.| 1.   Make sure the disc is not heavily scratched or damaged.

2.   Wipe the disc gently from the centre towards to the edge of the disc with a clean and so cloth.

3.   Try another disc to check if the disc is faulty.

The loader is dirty.| Wipe the lens gently with a degreasing

co on swab.

Cannot charge ba ery| There is no current at power

outlet.

| Make sure the power outlet is working.
The plug is not plugged in

correctly.

| Make sure that the two plugs of the

power cords are connected correctly.

The charger is damaged.| Replace a charger with one that matches

the original specifica on (DC5V/1A).

The player is damaged.| Please contact Oakcastle Tech Support. NOTE: While charging, make sure the Power Source and the Charging Voltage are DC5V/1A. Excessive voltage input

may cause machine overload damage.

Automa cally skips parts of the contents of the disc| The player has MODE func on (Repeat, Repeat All, Random

Play& Preview Play).

| Please ensure Preview Play MODE is off.
Noisy & Screaming when it plays| Usage me of the disc may be too long, so the disc is not smooth.| 1.   Make sure the disc is not heavily damaged.

2.   Wipe the disc gently from the centre towards to the edge of the disc with a clean and so cloth.

3.   Try another disc to check if the disc is faulty.

If there is a scratching sound from inside of the CD player this might be caused due to the

CD not being inserted correctly.

| Please change to another disc, and do not use the other one again.
