Product Information

National Cycle VStream Windshield

  • Thank you for purchasing a National Cycle VStream Windshield This windshield is made from Quantum Hardcoated polycarbonate, which provides durability and protection for your motorcycle.
  • The windshield comes in three different tints: N20016-Dark Tint (Low), N20017-Light Tint (Medium), and N20018-Clear (Tall).
  • It is designed specifically for the Honda F6B (GL1800B) model.
  • The windshield is easy to install and remove, and it comes with all the necessary hardware.
  • It is important to follow the provided instructions to ensure proper installation and avoid damage to the accessory or motorcycle.

Product Usage Instructions

  1. TOOLS REQUIRED: You will need a 10mm Box Wrench and an 8mm Box Wrench for the installation and removal process.

  2. REMOVAL AND RE-INSTALLATION:

  3. Move the mirror forward and lift the rubber sleeve to expose the inside attachment point. Repeat on the opposite side.

  4. Remove the bolt and washer securing the body panel. Repeat on the opposite side.

  5. Gently lift the tab over the stud to remove the front fairing panel. Repeat on the opposite side.

  6. Position the mirror back (toward the rider) to remove the front panel. Repeat on the opposite side.

  7. Carefully remove the front panel.

  8. Remove the hardware holding the windshield at three locations using an 8mm Box Wrench. Take care not to drop internal washers.

  9. Remove the stock windshield.

  10. Install the VStream windshield using the stock hardware.

  11. Re-install the front panel.

  12. MAINTENANCE:

    • Cleaning: Wash the windshield with a clean soft cloth, warm water, and a non-abrasive soap. Do not use rain-protective products or allow brake fluid, alcohol, or strong solvents to contact the screen.
    • Recommended Cleaning Product: National Cycle Windshield Wash
      Part number N1401. It is supplied with a handy travel-size container and rag for easy storage on the motorcycle.
  13. WARNING: Never ride your motorcycle with loose accessory mounting hardware. Check the hardware for tightness regularly. If an accessory adversely affects your motorcycle’s stability, immediately remove it.

REMOVAL AND RE-INSTALLATION

  • Retain all fasteners and parts as they will be reused.
  • Installation of the windshield will be in reverse of removal.

    • To avoid hardware dropping into the mirror cavity stuff a small cloth under the hardware! Inset (A)
    • Removal of Front Fairing Panel
  3. Gently lift “tab” (B) over the stud in order to remove a front fairing panel. Repeat on the opposite side Figure 2
    • Position the mirror back (toward the rider) in order to remove the front panel. Repeat on the opposite side. Figure 3
  4. Carefully remove the front panel.

    • Use care when removing stock shields. Do not drop internal washers.
  6. Remove stock windshield.

  • National Cycle hereby warrants to the original registered owner of a National Cycle polycarbonate windshield for a period of three years from the date of purchase against breakage.
  • This limited warranty is expressly limited to the replacement of the polycarbonate windscreen.
  • This limited warranty does not include scratches, coating failure, cosmetic wear and tear, replacement of hardware, or any consequential damages or expenses including labor cost of installation, removal and/or replacement, inconvenience, inbound freight expenses, or damage to any other component of the motorcycle or any other accessories.
  • Certain chemicals, generally known as acidic hydrocarbons, are known to cause polycarbonate damage and will not be covered under this limited warranty. Please refer to the cleaning instructions supplied with all National Cycle windshields.

MAINTENANCE

  • Cleaning: Wash with a clean soft cloth, plenty of warm water, and, if necessary, a non-abrasive soap such as dish-washing liquid. Flannel or soft chamois make good cleaning clothes. Do not use rain-protective products on the screen due to the solvent action of the alcohol in these products.
  • Do not allow brake fluid, alcohol, or strong solvents to con-tact the screen.
  • National Cycle Windshield Wash Part number N1401 is recommended for everyday cleaning. The product is supplied with a handy travel-size container and rag for easy storage on the motorcycle.

WARNING

  • Never ride your motorcycle with loose accessory mounting hardware. Check the hardware for tightness regularly.
  • Today’s motorcycles are built with enough frame rigidity to withstand the moderate loads imposed on them by the foreseeable addition of an accessory(ies).
