- Tighten the knobs on both side of the helmet shell with care to adjust the friction which holds the shell in up (parking position) and down (working position).
PREPARATION FOR USE / USAGE
Before using the grinding visor the following checks need to be carried out according to the following procedure:
- Check if the visor is clean and can be seen through.
- Ensure the lens/grinding screen is correctly located and firmly fitted to the helmet.

- Be sure the visor is seated properly (flat) to prevent fogging.
Big Vision Air (Grinding visor prepared for air) only:
Attaching the air hose to a Böhler helmet prepared for air: Align the pins of the hose bayonet connector with the slots in the air duct. Push the bayonet connector into the air duct until it reaches the bottom of the hole and then rotate it gently until the locating pins clip into place.
Directing the airflow inside the helmet: Regulate the amount of air that is guided to your forehead by opening/ closing the rotating knob on the inside of the shell above the viewing area. (see p.4 – Fig. 3 )
Fitting the face-seal: When the connected blower is switched on lower the helmet to its down position. Pull the face seal with the respective tap over the chin and fit it properly around your face and chin. The protective factor of the complete system is reduced if the seal of the helmet is not fitted properly, for example due to beards or long hair intervening into the seal line.
