Product Information
The Locking Latch is an accessory designed to add an extra layer of security to your energy storage system investment. It is specifically intended to replace the non-locking hinge latch that comes standard on the Tank PRO 4000. This locking latch is compatible with both the Yeti PRO 4000 and the Tank PRO 4000.
Please note that using a Locking Latch to attach a Tank PRO 4000 to another Tank follows the same installation process outlinedbelow. If you plan to stack any Yeti PRO or Tank PRO units, it is recommended to use a mounting plate. Additional locking latches will be needed to connect the extra units. When using the mounting plate, it is not recommended to stack more than 5 units tall (e.g., 4 tanks and one Yeti).
Installation Instructions
- Remove the non-locking latch attached to the unit:
- Unclasp the latch from either the Yeti PRO 4000 or Tank PRO 4000.
- Using a T10 Torx bit, remove the 3 upper and 3 lower Torx head screws. See illustration.
- Remove the latch.
- Install the locking latch:
- Ensure the mounting surfaces on both the Tank 4000 PRO and the locking latch is clean and free of any burrs, dirt, or debris.
- Align the mounting holes of the locking latch with the latch mounting holes on the Tank PRO 4000.
- Lift up the latch and install the 3 lower Torx head screws into the mounting holes and hand-tighten until snug. Then install the 3 upper screws. Be sure not to over-tighten.
- Before clasping the locking latch into place, confirm that the short locking arm attached to the lock cylinder is in the unlocked position.
- Secure the locking latch into place and lock it by inserting the key into the lock cylinder and turning the key clockwise, bringing the locking arm into the locked position.
