-
Preparation:
Using a Shop Towel or Rag + Plastic safe cleaning solution of choice, thoroughly clean the underside of Factory Side Skirts to remove any road grime or debris. Be sure to pay close attention to the cleanliness on/around the embossed Jack Arrows. -
Aligning your aerofabb Side Splitters into position:
Starting on either the passenger or driver’s side of vehicle, raise your aerofabb Side Splitter up to the Factory Side Skirt and place the recessed triangles over both of the Factory embossed Jack Arrows. This will align your Side Splitter flush into it’s correct position, eliminating the need to guess or measure. -
Drilling pilot holes:
With your Side Splitter held in position, use a Drill and 3/32″ Drill Bit to make pilot holes. Using the 11 pre-drilled holes on the Side Splitter as a guide, drill straight into the Factory Side Skirt. Remove the Side Splitter and use a Razor Blade to clean up any plastic debris on the bottom side of the Factory Skirts caused by pilot holes.- Keep Drill Bit as perpendicular as possible to surface of Side Splitter while entering and exiting the pilot hole.
- Be cautious not to drill through the top side of the Factory Side Skirt
-
Fastening your aerofabb Side Splitters:
Place your aerofabb Side Splitter back into position. Using a T-20 Torx Driver, install the provided Tone Screws and matching Fender Washers passing through the 11 pre-drilled holes on the Side Splitters and into your pilot holes. Install all hardware with hand tools or risk stripping out threads! There should be no gaps between Side Splitter and Factory Side Skirts. There should also be no gaps between Hardware and Side Splitters. Repeat steps 1-4 on the opposite side.- INSTALL AND TIGHTEN ALL HARDWARE WITH HAND TOOLS.
- Start by fastening each end of the Side Splitter and work towards the center.
- Screws might require slight force before beginning to thread (this is normal).
-
Check all hardware for tightness to complete the installation.
NOTES:
